I had this same exact problem. i found a blown fuse in the panel on the drivers side just inside the door well (On the end of the dash on the driver's side) . to save me I do not remember which one buy as I recall it w as a 15 amp fuse. That fixed the problem. you will need the code from the factory to reset the radio.

Please there are some bad fuses and relays in the car.
Please run a scan on this car to really determine what the actual cause is but I bet you will need to look in the driver compartment and in the fuse box in the hood to replace some fuses and relays.
Good luck and thanks for using Fixya.
Can a clutch in a 2002 eclipse be replaced without
Yes, it can; you just have to remove the transmission and front suspension instead. The front suspension so you can get the axles out of the transmission and so it has a place to come out. Usually, you can slide the transmission out of one of the wheel wells to work on it.
My cd player is asking for a code
The code for your cd player should be on a card that was placed inside of the manual in your glove box. You just need to enter this code on your radio. If you can not find the code, remove the trim around the radio and write down the serial number for your radio. If you call up a mitsubishi dealership and tell them you need the radio code for your radio, they should be able to tell you what it is.
Hope this helps! If you need more instructions on how to enter the code after you have it, just let me know.
Radio wont display "code"
you may have entered the wrong code or not pressed "enter"button after using code.leave to rest overnight then try as it may be in failsafe mode.
Hi, i have 2002 mitsubishi eclipse... I had to
Call the dealer and ask if they can help you with the code and procedures. Your owner's manual should have the procedure listed in it but the code should have been in the papers that came with your car when it was new. Again the dealer is your best bet. They will need your vehicle VIN and maybe even the radio serial number.
2002 Eclispe sometimes starts up and sometimes
if you're sure the battery & connections are ok,check the starter motor and it's connections.if it does start without a jump, I would lean towards starter. the headlight isn't related. you need a new bulb. the filament inside is broken, when you tap it,you're just causing the filament to make contact temporarily
How to reset check engine light
If the overheating problem was the only reason the light came on. It should reset itself after about 100mi
(if I remember correctly) of normal driving. Or you can
stop by a parts store autozone/cap/or napa and they
will reset it for free, and they can see if there any other codes lurking in the wings. You can also remove the negative battery terminal for about 15min
but you may reset more than you would like.
Hope this helps.
