Bill honestly if your not getting code PO38 something on the MIL light isn't on .I would look at the fuel supply air supply .
Every engine needs 3 things to run electrical spark you have that AIR supply and Fuel supply .

Hazard lights won't go off
remove the fuse from the fuse box. This should only be done if the indicators are not also on the same fuse. Then simply replace the switch. (this might be more easily said than done.)
How to fix a power steering leak for a chevy
Is the leak coming from a hose or from the pump itself...If its a hose, most likely the factory crimp clamps gave way...Pry them off and replace with a hose clamp...If it's the pump itself, then the diaphragm is most likely warn out, and the pump itself will need to be replaced...You should be able to tell easily where its leaking by turning on the vehicle, make sure the unit is full of fluid, and have someone turn the steering hard right or left and the pressure will cause the fluid to leak or stream out of the problem area...As a note if its a fairly strong leak/stream the over-the-counter stop leak products will not work...tg
Dash lights
If you can reach back behind and above strearing you have to feel your way, and find little turn nobs and the lights are in them

2001 impala dies runs rough when warms up no power knocks when gasing
Sometimes a plate can break loose inside the catalytic converter (bad weld) and restrict the exhaust only while gassing it. When you slow down the plate lies down or has less exhaust going through it or something like that, so it runs good .Drive your car fairly hard and then stop and look underneath at the converter quickly and see if it's glowing red. If it is it's probably blocked to some degree. Don't really know what you mean by knock, but this happened to my 2001 impala.
Air bubbles in power steering fluid in a 2001 impala
Power steering punps tend to leak the oil is thin and seals tend to ware over time.
You may never see a leak because the pump is so close to the fan it blows away ends up on the inside of the hood .
The reason you see air bubble's is with all light oils if oil can get out air can get in kind of like a leak in your brake line.
You can buy power steering fluid with seal swell witch depending on how much its leaking may fix or slow it down but its not the end of the world if it leaks a little just check it from time to time as long as there is enough oil in the resievor it will work
Ho do I reset the service engine light on a 2001 GM Impala
If it's the Oil Life Monitor, all you need to do is turn the key ON (do not start the car) and press the gas pedal down three times within 5 seconds. You will get a confirmation chime and the oil life monitor light will flash and turn off. If it doesn't work, try it again.
The instructions for turning the oil life monitor light off are in the owner's manual. If you don't have a manual, go to www.mygmlink.com and sign up for an account... You will be able to access the owner's manual online for free.
