What would the main reason be if my dodge shadow
I posted this response earlier:
You could have a
spark plug wire off or bad plug wires shorting to the head. There could be a shorted cable/wire to your alternator. The easiest way to check for shorts is to disconnect your positive or negative
battery cable. Make sure your ignition is off and your doors are closed. Touch the cable you took off to the terminal you took the cable from. If there is a loud bright spark you have a pretty good short. If nothing it may just be your plug wires. If you have not had a tune up in a long time it may just be the plug wires and you need a complete tune up. Alternators that short out internally typically will kill the battery over a short period of time. I hope this helps you out!!
I want to know how to get more powere out of my
There are as many ways to increase power and performance as there are funds available to spend. In essence it boils down to how much you money do you want to invest. Although due to the limitations of the vehicle in question there is a fundamental limit as to how much performance you can get out of it.
If however you accept the limitations in the steering, suspension, braking and over all horse power there are a couple things that are inexpensive that will give you a little more bang for your buck.
The most important item when considering an increase in performance is the volume of air and fuel that ends up in the cylinder. Any increase in these will give you an increase in usable power. The easiest upgrade is to increase the volume of air with a high flow air filter and ducting. The most common one is from K and N filter. After this an upgrade to the computer control in the form of a "Power Chip" can add as much as 50hp.
Beyond these the upgrade tend to get pricey. Fuel injectors, high volume fuel pump, exhaust header and upgraded ignition components.
You should also remember that it becomes more and more difficult to squeeze out horsepower the higher you go.
After this the only reasonable way to achieve a dramatic increase in power is with the addition of a turbo charger (if your shadow is not equipped with one already), or by adding a Nitrous Oxide System (NOS) to the intake.
This can also cause serious problems though if the engine is not strong enough to handle the increased horsepower.
Hope this helps.
Will not start. checked fuel pump fuse(no voltage)
Hook a test light up to the positive connection at the fuel pump. Typically when you key on. a short (2 seconds) burst of power goes to the pump, then it turns off. Many designs then feed voltage during start, but OFF if the engine does not start, all of which is normal.
My 1993 dodge shadow will not start, it will turn
Does it sound like a screeching or grinding sound? If so - it could be the starter is going out - there is a part called the bendix spring that is probably not engaging completely and it will cause the teeth of the starter to not fully engage the flywheel - which makes an awful sound.
Hope this helps and good luck!

Horn doesn't work in 93 Dodge shadow
for the horn there should be a relay in the fuse box in the engine compartment near the battery. it has likely failed.
for the back up lights. put it in reverse and "jiggle" the shifter and see if they do in fact go on.
I have a 93 duster
Could be a few things. It may be the pickup coil in the distributer starting to go. It could also be the fuel pump, or fuel pump relay starting to go too. It's hard to diagnose without it recurring.
Starting issue with 2005 ford taurus
It sounds like to me that you mite have a bad fuel injector.... try running motor and 1 by 1 unplug each injector harness pluging it back in after each check.. no more than 1 off at a time a good injector slows the motor noticably.. a bad one when un plugged chanes nothing at all..hope this helps
