1995 dodge caravan will not back up goes forward
I'm guessing it's a automatic. It is probably a transmission problem. Check your transmission fluid level. It might be leaking. If it's low just refill it and you will be good to go. keep an eye on the level. You will kill your transmission if you let it run with low fluid for too long.

Won't start
A failed ECM is very common, it's a small device that took the place of breaker points located in the distributor, two screws and a plug. While you are in there replace the cap, rotor and wires if you have not had that done already.

Please help me how can I find the meaning of code p 1493 for
Hi Raul:P1493 is ambient temp sensor volts low. The most likely cause for this code to set is a bad sensor or a wiring problem. I can give you testing instructions if you would like. You will need a volt meter.Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

Cant get the back drum
You know the problem
You left the drums on so long, that it is worn &
has a lip that is over the shoes
That is why both rear drums & all rotors have to come
off once a year & remove rust & the lip on rotors & outer
step on drums
No one uses anti-seize on anything ,so your drum is also
rusted solid to the wheel hub face
All those issues can be prevented, if you make love to your
vehicle more often & never allow a professional to work
on them, as they won't lube a thing either
You have to go into the back of the brake drum & try &
turn the shoe adjuster to bring the shoes in & away from the drum
Then it will come off
Then you grind down the step on the drum & take to auto parts
store to be further machined

1995 chrysler radio with cassette just stops
Check ALL fuses. Check the wires on the back of the unit, especially ground and "key on" wire.
It may be an Intermittant shorting of the units ground wire, which would cause the unit to totally shut off and on whenever the short happens. Shouldn't be a hot power wire shorting, because it would have blown the fuse and wouldn't work at all. There is a 12v signal wire that tells the unit when your key is in the on position or the acc. position. The "key on" wire. That wire may be causing the unit to turn itself off and on if it is getting an improper signal. it may also be a problem with the cassette player itself.

Seprate hub from knuckle broken stud
If you look behind the hub assembly, you can see where it is bolted in with four bolts. You will have to take the axle nut off so the hub assenmbly will slide off over the cv axle. This will mean that you have to remove all the brake components also.

Sounds like metal to metal
First, I would check the thickness of my front brake pads. If they are alright , Jack up one of the front wheels and see if you can duplicate it. It's usually a case of caliper pins not sliding and not releasing the pads from the rotors. In that case you need to disassemble the calipers and clean and re grease them.
