Where is the fuel filter located and how do I check to see if it's working properly?

Under the car on the drivers side behind the drivers door. Replace it, it is probably way over due. But my guess(if you have spark to the plugs) is the fuel pressure regulator. No spark to the plugs would be the crank sensor. Under the crank pulley.

Most cars don't have a drain plug for radiators anymore! Just unclip the bottom hose from the radiator to drain it!

My 1990 Olds Cutlass Calais

I have always had a place in my heart for the Olds Cutlass. I own a '90 Olds Cutlass Calais--WITH the fuse box COVER. I went out to the car and removed the cover and have it next to me so that I can type the EXACT fuse order as they appear on the inside cover. There are 2 col. When I've finished the l/h side, I'll make a line to indicate the start of the r/h side. I will also put the Circuit on the left & fuse on the right. If you are ready, HERE WE GO:

How do i replace heater core in 1990 cutlass calais s 4 cyl 2.5L

Hi Ronald,That vehicle is equipped with one of the easiest heater cores in the world to replace. Here are the instructions form the service manual:Drain cooling system. Raise vehicle. From underneath, remove heater hoses from heater core. Remove drain tube. Lower vehicle. Remove right and left side sound insulator panels. Lower heating duct and hoses. Remove heater core cover and heater core. To install, reverse procedure. Fill and bleed cooling system.HINT: I never drain the cooling system to replace a heater core. It is not necessary if you use a couple pairs of long-nose Vise-Grips to clamp off the heater hoses before you disconnect them from the heater core. That way, the only coolant you will lose is what is actually in the heater core itself.
