Plugs can blow out completely, resulting in a sudden loss of coolant.

Check it by using your hazard lights. If they flash, the relay is OK and you have a woring issue.

Does the service engine stay on after you have restarted the vehicle? If so connect a scanner to see what codes come up. Could be as simple as an idle adjustment.
