How to flush engine
The most common way to flush an engine is by draining the oil. Put 1 gallon of engine flush treatment in. Start vehicle and allow to run for 5 minutes. Drain the flush treatment, and add the recommended amount of oil.

I take it you have the 3.4 L (204 cu in) LQ1 V6 engine.
I've seen it before. If that's the one ' remember seeing it on the peripheral of the engine compartment at the rear, I think. Dirty compartments don't always show a reservoir, but look for the telltale rubber lid or a metal one with a thick wire clamp.
What could the problem be??
I would check out what is called the body computer. This causes that type of failure. I don't know where it would be on your vehicle but a little research will tell you.
Water blowing out of the radiator
Thats normal to an extent.As the engine warms up, the coolant expands and would gush out of the radiator until the thermostat opens.If it does it as soon as you start the engine, you could have a blown head gasket.
Timing marks on camshafts for oldsmobile 3.4
Be very cautious ,that 4 camshaft engine requires special tools to service the timing. A fixture to hold the cams in the proper place, I've never seen one outside of a GM dealership. But there may be one.The cams will not stay in place without it because the spring pressure makes them rotate when the belt is off.
