How do i replace the starter on my North Star 32 valve V8 engine on my 1995 Oldsmobile Aurora?
Before you replace the starter check all your wiring to the starter, and I don't mean just look, I mean loosen the light and heavy connections, wiggle them to help remove any corrosion and retighten.
Check the heavy ground wire from batt to chassis/engine is good. As a secondary check, attach a jumper cable from batt neg terminal to clean engine casting in case ground cable is bad.
Where do i locate radiator cooling fan relays and breaker.
you will need to trace this out with the use of a manual for your vehicle. either look online or go to your local auto parts store to find one. You may get lucky just checking under the hood for fuses and relays. in any case a multi meter will help but the best resource will be a wiring schematic as found in a chilton or hayne's manual.

Where is the idle air control valve located
ti is located at the side of the throttle body. It should have two screws holding it in place. its either black or silver. you can remove it and try cleaning the carbon off of it. also try cleaning the inside of your throttle body with break clean or carb cleaner.
2000 Volvo v40 battery shorting the alternator
should be the other way round .check the output of the alternator .should be 14.1 if more than this ,change the brushes on the rear of the alternator held on with two screws part of it is your regulator .may be overcharging the battery.
Car wont start
Fuel or ignition system faulty. Most common = map sensor or fuel pump/filter or relay.
Power Widows Not working
The window motors have over load protection inside and the motors are worn out and dragging causing them to shut off till they cool. Simple way to repair is to replace the motors.Any auto supply can get them for you and you can probably find a video on you tube on how to replace them.
Replace front right wheel bearing
This is a hub and bearing assy. You will need to remove the axle nut, brake rotor, caliper assy. There are 3 or 4 bolts that attach the hub assy to the knuckle assy. Most of the time, the hub assy will come out easy and sometime it comes out very hard. Make sure you torque the axle nut to the proper spec, so the bering will not fall apart and will last. Buy a quality hub and bearing assy, so you dont have to do it again.
