I hear a clicking sound, parking lights and instrument panel lights flicker like its a short when the key is not in the ignition
you need to replace the light switch. It is shorting in the mechanism itself not the wiring. I had the same issue. Just another GM engineering blunder

CANT FIND WHERE THE SPEED SENSOR IS NO MY 1995 OLDSMOBILE AURORA
hi , their is two different speed sensors on your vehicle one is the input speed sensor which is inside the transmission and the transmission will have to be removed to replace it the other one s the output speed sensor is located directly above the passenger side trans-axle shaft. your input sensor is the sensor which tells the transmission when to shift and the output speed sensor tells the speedometer what it should display and both those parts are fairly cheap they are around 15-25 dollars but just remember if your input speed sensor is bad it is gonna cost you a minimum of 1000 dollars to have a mechanic fix as the transmission needs to be removed hope this is what you needed

Can you stop a oil pan leak with bars engine oil leak fluild
yes and no, i wouldnt recomend it with aurora.. i had same leak from the oil pan and put in the bars and it stopped the leak for a couple weeks. after that it leaked the same as before. i would never use it again on any of my cars.. i had a friend put in new pan gasket and it stopped the leak... i believe this is pretty common with the aurora...is it 95?

Is there some way to test the ignition control module? I already called Napa, PepBoys, Autozone, and Kragen. Only Autozone does these kinda of tests, but they do not have the proper schematic. Is there another way to test if it is functioning or not?
Idle / surging comes from the intake to throttle body rubber connection

where is the idle air control valve located
ti is located at the side of the throttle body. It should have two screws holding it in place. its either black or silver. you can remove it and try cleaning the carbon off of it. also try cleaning the inside of your throttle body with break clean or carb cleaner.

I have a 1991 mazda rx7 and the battery keeps draining overnight. i thought the alternator was not charging it enough so i got a new one and replaced it but still the same thing and i have done this with two brand new batteries so im just not sure where else to look... and i know that no other lights or switches are left on so i am stuck please help... my 1995 oldsmobile aurora keep draining all the batteries that i put in the car....i thought it was the alternator so i bought a brand new one and the same problem still acures. I have a CD player and a system connected so i thought maybe the they weren't connected right so i disconnected them but the problem is still happening
Connect a 12 volt DC test light between battery cable & post on positive terminal.(remove terminal) (inline) When that light is on, there is a draw. Radio memory, alarm/antitheft systems, etc will cause a draw, so make notes & pull them first. Light will be dull on low draw, bright on high draw. Watch light closely & start pulling fuses, when you see it dim down,or go off you;ve found a draw. If no change, put it back in & continue. I usually start with the suspected draw spots like listed above, and accessories fuses.(like a cigarette lighter stuck in.) If all else fails, I've had to remove all the fuses then start replacing one at a time, until light gets bright, to point me in direction of major draw. Don't be proud, if you don't think it's labeled well enough for you to remember where they all go, make your own drawing & notes. Keep me posted of your progress.

Cd player not functioning properly. when cd is inserted there is a clicking noise and then a coed appeares (e 2).Help!!
the clicking noise is most likely the laser trying to focus on the disk, make sure the cd is clean and if thats not the case clean the cdrom player with a cd player cleaner

how do i remove a radiator from a 2001 oldsmobile aurora
Click on this link for basic diagram: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/catalog/parts/jobDiagram.jsp?engineCyl=8&ymmeId=2001/37/35/515&imageURL=&categoryDisplayName=Cooling+%26+Heating&productType=00&parentId=172 First thing is to drain your radiator of all coolant by opening pipcock at base of radiator (catch the old coolant in a pan but I myself would not reuse it.) As you can see in the diagram, you'll need to remove upper and lower radiator hoses and overflo hose. (Remove all hoses at the radiator only...no need to remove completely.) If applicable, unattach transmission cooling lines from the radiator. (If desired, you can temporarily plug ends of tranny lines with clean pieces of rag.) Last, there are two radiator hold down clamps which are easy to get at and remove, as you can see in the diagram. After removing these you should be able to lift the old radiator straight up and out. Hopefully you will not need to remove your cooling fans. Carefully reverse the process with your new radiator, refill the system and you're done. How "cool" is that??? Hope I helped

turn key, all interior lights come on (so I know it's not the battery) but my car will not start. I replaced the starter about 2 years ago. How can I find out what the problem is?
If you havent fixed this already im sure you have found tapping on the starter is virtually impossable on an aurora. If the starter clicks but wont turn over the solinoid on the starter is bad.In an emergency you can grab the center boss of the top fan belt fully with a pair of channel locks and rotate the engine slightly. sometimes this puts the flywheel so the bendix will engage and start the engine ultimately you need to replace the starter or solinoid
