Electrical system drains battery when vehicle not in use
Normal for a 3 year old battery. it has internal resistance that discharges it self. Disconnecting the battery will not help. A way to see if vehicle is causing the discharge, but it will dump the radio and clock settings....take off one of the battery terminals and put a test light (12 V.) between the terminal on the battery and the cable end. If the test light comes on,there is something ON in the car.If the computer memory is dumped due to low voltage, the car has to "re learn" all of it's setting and will usually not idle well at all! Please have the battery load tested after it has been fully charged.
Gas leaking from device behind air in take
that sounds like the cap for the schrader valve,it is a valve that lets you check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail.It has a valve inside it just like a tire and sometimes the seals go bad
Will heater coil unhook will this make check engine light stay on
HelloWhen the service engine
soon light (Also called the check engine light or engine management
light) is turned on this is to alert you to the fact that Powertrain
Control Module (computer) has detected a failure somewhere in the
systems it controls you may not feel any difference in the way the
engine runs, this can be the transmission or the engine or emission
system, there are fault codes set in the modules memory for these
faults. What needs to happen now is to have the powertrain control
module scanned with a special tool called an OBD2 electronic engine
control scanner or a OBD2 code reader. Once the code(s) are read then
you must perform the diagnostics for each code and make the
appropriate repairs based on the findings of the diagnosis that was
performed, this is called doing "Pinpoint" testing.
What is the easiest way to bypass the security light on my 98 bravada
The security light is a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars and trucks there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM (Theft Deterrent Module). These 3 parts are in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending signals to each other. The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, even just for a second. When the signal breaks, the car misinterperates this as an attempt at theft and goes into antitheft mode. The car thinks its being stolen or hotwired because it is not getting that signal from YOUR specific key. This is why the security light turns on and shuts down your vehicle. Remember too, the TDM controls the security light. Sometimes you can have ALL the symptoms and no lights. This link may help you.

Go from air to heat back to air about every 7 secends
It is the A/C actuator. (blend door motor) Most likely it is a small plastic gear piece in the unit has broken, like in my Bravada. I found one, new, online for around $90 at Partsgeek.com, assuming you have automatic air conditioner controls....only $35-40 with manual A/C controls. It is a dastardly awkward under the dash/glovebox fix, but can be done with basic toolbox tools, a light, and a good sense of humor. One to maybe two hours realistically.here's a link that should offer up details as to how to get access to the actuator.http://www.automotiveforums.com/t574779-blend_door_with_pictures_and_the_common_problem_.html
