How. Can. I take out

If you mean your front brake discs behind the wheel, then jack up the car, pull off the wheels first.Once your wheels are off you need to take off the brake caliper. That is the piece where the brake pads are located.usually 2 bolts (metric) holds them on.Once the calipers are out of the way,you either have brake rotors that are held on by set screws in the face of the rotor, or you have to take off the center nut in the hub and the caliper mounting bracket for the rotors to come off.Tear down one side so you can use the other as a guide to help you put it back together.

Transmission won't shift & speed

oooo man i just spent a ton of money trying to figure this problem out. i have a 99 bravada to. let me guess the gauges lite up but the rpm and spedo do not work. also the transmission wont shift while in drive. this is how i fixed mine. on the driver side, open the door there is a fuse box on the side of the dash. it is probly shorted out, even tho the fuses arnt blow it could still not be working. here is what u can to to fix it temporarly. take out the fuses that say dash and ignition, now run a hot wire to the fuse box and touch it to the ignition and dash fuse spots. and while u have both of them connected turn the car on and put it in drive and it should take off in first gear and run how it should. (when u connect the hot wire to those spots the dash should come on, even tho the key isnt on)

I have a 1999 oldsmobile

Sorry to hear about your trans troubles. What we need to do is make sure there are no leaks around the transmission or the radiator, then start the vehicle and leave it in park and check the fluid level on the dip stick located on the passenger side of the vehicle at the back of the engine (the handle will probable be red). If the level is ok but the fluid on the stick is of a brown color and smells burnt you are probable looking at problems on the inside and will need to be looked at by a tech. The average cost of a rebuilt trans. is fifteen hundred to two thousand and possible more. I hope you find this info helpful and good luck

99 bravada 4.3 cylinder 4

If you are sure your spark is good, you need to verify compression at that cylinder, and fuel (fuel pressure from the pump as well as an injector pulse, if these are good, swap injector with another cylinder to verify the injector, if you have multi-port)

What are the instructions to

Warning: 1995 and later models are equipped with an airbag. Always turn the steering wheel to the straight ahead position, place the ignition switch in Lock and remove key, then remove the airbag fuse and unplug the yellow Connector Position Assurance (CPA) connector at the base of the steering column before working in the vicinity of the impact sensors, steering column or instrument panel to avoid the possibility of accidental deployment of the airbag, which could cause personal injury. The yellow wires and connectors routed through the instrument panel are for this system. Do not use electrical test equipment on these yellow wires or tamper with them in any way while working under the instrument panel.
Caution: On models equipped with a Delco Loc II anti-theft audio system, be sure the lockout feature is turned off before performing any procedure which requires disconnecting the battery.

  • The turn signal switch function is incorporated into the multi-function switch, along with the wiper/washer and headlight dimming controls.
  • Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the steering column covers and the drivers knee bolster.
  • Remove the two Torx screws securing the multi-function switch to the top of the steering column.
  • Clip the wire-ties securing the multi-function switch harness to the other steering column wires.
  • At the bottom of the steering column, remove the bolt securing the large bulkhead electrical connector to the firewall.
  • Separate the two multi-function switch connectors from the large bulkhead connector.
  • The multi-function switch and its harness must be replaced as a unit.
  • Installation is the reverse of removal

get a phone book out and find transmission shops in the yellow pages under auto repair. call a few and ask them how much to remove, rebuild, and reinstall your transmission. then you will know how much it costs, and where it can be done locally.

Hi,
If your air conditioning isn't working, and you've had the fluid topped off, it usually points to a bad compressor. You'll have to buy a new one and replace your existing one. If you do go this route, contact me and I can try to guide you on how to do it.
Hope this helps. If it does, please accept and rate the solution! You can leave a testimonial or contact me with any more questions you may have. Thanks for using FixYa!
