First & only suggestion I have, is get rid of it, and any van type vehicleThey all are unsafe in an accidentHaving once owned a trans repair shop, I will tell you they all have badtransaxles & that is what you haveIt is tens years old,the trans was done no matter what vehicle you boughtYou mentioned water in headlight & more issuesThat vehicle is going to cost too much to straighten out --- UNLESSyou do (100%) 100% of ALL WORK yourself & the trans is not something you can do yourself or even install one

Someone will need to get a wiring diagram and check the circuit for a short to ground.Could be in the switch, or in the wiring harness, or moisture in one of the lamp sockets.

chech coolant needs to be full for swich to work, check for power to fans they will come on at 220 to 232 degrees. if not check with scanner activate fan relay check for power to fan if no good replace relay if power is there replace fan

Are you sure the radiator and overflow tank are full of coolant ?

it needs to be done at a gm dealer why do you need it flashed?

take the eng. and trans. out from the bottom remove the sub. frame bolts and lift the car leaving the eng. and trans. as a complete unit you dont want to try taking it out the top be helpfull if you had a lift

Some car doors had a switch in the body door frame.When you close it the switch which had a relay spring that sometimes become damage or need lubrication or the system that manage the automatic on/off is damage.
