Sounds like you are drawing too many amps through the circuit. Window defoggers draw a lot of power which could be the culprit and it tied into the circuit. Unless you are good with schematics and vehicle wiring, it's difficult to narrow it down to what it could be.

What three seals, specifically? Where did you get them replaced? It's very easy to damage a seal upon installation if you're not careful. The fuse marked "PWR WND" or if there are only numbers, check for an index of what number the fuse is for the windows. ( I don't mean AMP rating of the fuse.) If the fuses are good, it may be a bad switch.
2000 cabrio rattling muffler
My rattling occurred when the exhaust system was taxed because the bracket was tweaked by something. It was very annoying. This may require some savvy thinking because the exhaust system gets hot and wrapping anything around the pipe that is flammable is a VERY BAD idea. There is an area where the exhaust system mounts to the body and a rock, a pothole, or some object on the road tweaked the bracket just enough to cause the pipe to bump and rattle against the frame. Find this area (may be different part in your case) if I remember correctly this issues starts around the area where the exhaust system curves over the frame near the mid-back area of the axle (at least that is where my issue was.) and figure out how to tweak it back and the rattling should stop. This is where the savvy thinking part comes into play to keep the costs at a minimal.
