Vortec v6 location of ignition control module
Ignition module is bolted on bracket with ignition coil. Not likely to cause issues in wet/damp weather. Suspect faulty distributor cap or ignition wires as the source of the problem. You can run the vehicle and use a spray bottle of water and spray around the dist. cap to see if engine falters or stalls. If so, that will be your problem. If ok, spray around the ignition wires to see if any problems arise
Why does the oil in my 2001 2.2l chevy s-10 look
milky sump oil is coolant liquid in the oil. The leak may not necessarily be a head gasket but a corrosion hole behind the water pump impellor that is allowing water through the timing cover and into the sump. At this stage it will be a pin hole but it will get bigger.. Fix the problem as the water in the oil destroys the oil capabilities and will lead to engine failure.
