Why my automatic gearbox lever connot move
Check to see if your car's brake lights are working. If they aren't, it's your brake light switch located on your brake pedal.
The car needs to "sense" that the brakes are being pressed in order to release the shift lever.
Brake light switches are a pretty common failure item.
Make sure to get a Mercedes switch, the other brands are even more problematic.
Hope this helps.

Driving along makes a very loud noise like motor is racing, but continue driving, noise goes away then starts again???
Please take a look at your Engine's RPMs when this is happening and let us know, as it will help with the diagnosis. If the Engine RPM is stable (not high during the periods of the racing engine sound), then it sounds like your Radiator Fan clutch may be going out. The noise you are hearing is the fan kicking in and blowing a lot of air, which in turn sounds like the engine is racing.
If the RPMs are increasing with the racing engine sound, it could be the transmission/(clutch if manual trans) slipping.
Hope this helps!

1993 190e mercedes loosing power when full throddle.
Could be, but I would check your engine wiring harness as MB was forced by the US to use a biodegradable insulation on the wiring and with heat starts to crack and fall apart. Also check voltage regulator on the alternator and your coil.

My 1193 Mercedes 300 has almost 200, 000 km. Never driven in winter. Last year the engine started sounding like a diesel engine. The noise has slowly progressed and presently it is defnitely notceable
Both mechanics mentioned the problem in the same general area, the timing chain rotates the cam shaft that opens and closes the values. I don't know much about your car but assuming it is a 1993 with a lot of miles my guess is that it has a metal timing chain, if so then it could be time to replace it. Metal timing chains (just about all types of timing chains for that matter) stretch and wear over time. I've seen metal chains stretched an inch with less than a 100,000 miles. However, if you are going to do that much work, it you think that might be the problem, then probably it would be worth doing a complete head job. I'm afraid without a lot of expensive diagnostic work auto repair can sometimes be a guessing game. Or find some real expert who has seen all the problems for your type of car.

Need to see if you have spark at the spark plugs. Then check fuel pressure at the engine. Do you hear the fuel pump run a few seconds when turn the key on (without cranking)? If you don't hear ir running, could be pump, relay, fuse.

Mercedes 190E heater blowing just luke warm air
there should be an electric water pump exclusively for the heater. on these 201 body cars it should be under the hood, on the passenger side, near the fender well. when the heater is engadged, this pymp should turn on pushing the hot water into the heater core. if these are not working, it will obstruct the water flow.
