1999 Oldsmobile 88 Questions & Answers
Are you in kenosha wi my parking lights will NOT turn off in my oldsmobile 1999 88
It sounds like you are having a problem with your parking lights not turning off on your 1999 Oldsmobile 88. There could be a number of causes for this issue, including a problem with the light switch, a fault in the wiring, or a problem with the light bulbs or sockets.
To diagnose the problem, I recommend starting by checking the light bulbs and sockets to make sure they are working properly. You can do this by replacing the bulbs with new ones and checking the sockets for any signs of damage or corrosion. If the problem persists, it could be an issue with the wiring or the light switch.
If you are not comfortable performing these checks yourself, or if you are unable to identify the cause of the problem, I recommend taking your car to a mechanic for further diagnosis. They will be able to identify the cause of the problem and recommend the appropriate repair.
Where is the petcock located on a 1999 oldsmobile
Most are difficult to get to and so many don't work correctly that it it's almost silly to even use it. Far easier is to simply remove lower hose from radiator. It works better and faster. Just be careful though...Don't do hot or you may get an unwanted scalding bath!!
1999 oldsmobile 88 headlights wont shut off
Pull this circuit breaker till you can find the problem. Check for applicable trouble codes. You have a lighting control module, I can't troubleshoot that component from here.
Heater/AC fan only works on High
Bencar1 is right. The problem is probably the resistor. But it also could be a burned terminal in the 4 prong plug that attaches to the resistor. There will be burn marks on one of the prongs of the resistor if this is it. Look for the obvious. Good luck.
Blinkers wont blink change the relay fuses ok
What about the turn signal switch on the steering column? Did you use a testlight and check voltage at the turn signal fuse? Goes hot when you turn on the key.
A lot of times, it's the turn switch or wiring in the steering column, but, It don't hurt to check the basics.
Oil pump not working
Have you used an accurate oil pressure gauge to see what you have? If the pressure is so low it is not lubing rocker arms, the main bearings are probably shot. You could try replacing the pump and running thicker oil to get a few more miles from it, but may not work.
