How do I get to and replace the tail/brake light on a 2004 Olds Alero
In the trunk, in the rear corners, you'll see some plastic "caps" with tabs on them, similar to wing nuts. Remove those, and the taillight comes right off the back of the car. That will allow you to replace the bulbs.

My 2004 Alero all of a sudden started a blinker noise while I was driving. If I turn on my turn signals or flashers the sound goes from a quick blinker noise to a regular blinker noise. All of my signal lights work front & back. I removed the fuse and the noise stops and of course my turn signals front & back don't work. If I put it back in the noise starts all over again and my signals work again. Does this mean I need a new fuse?
sounds like your electronic flasher unit maybe stuck causing the noise. they are generally located under the dash on driver side just below the instrument cluster.

Husband filled gas tank with car running. It's a 2004 Alero. Can I reset the light?
if it truly set code for "loose fuel cap" or po455 large leak, then tightening the cap and driving a couple days should reset on its own. if not then get it checked for free at autozone and report back with code # and can help from there. they'll ck for free but are not allowed to reset.

i have a 2004 oldsmobile alero and have locked my keys in the trunk and cant find the release to fold down the back seat. i know there is one in the trunk but there has to be one on the inside as well. my trunk release button doesn't work either.
If your trunk release button is electric, and not working because you need to turn the key to give it power, remove the button and use a piece of wire to jump power to it from the battery. This will get your trunk open! (don't forget to have a spare key made)

replace front wheel bearing is it hard to do on 2002 alero
its actually pretty easy if you have the basic tools needed and a little mechanical knowledge, because i dont think you can buy just the bearing at a auto parts store. they sell you the whole hub assembly which is great for the DIYer.
lift the car off the ground and block it from rolling and place a jack stand under it so it cant fall on anyone.
Wheel Bearings

i need to know how to check transmission fluid on a 2004 alero
2004 Aleros with auto trans DO NOT have a dipstick under the hood. They do have a filler cap, located on the driver side, look straight down under the edge of the exhaust crossover, black cap with a gear on it. According to the Manuf. the AUTOMATIC Transmission (should not need to be checked unless there is a leak) has a plug in the side just like the manual transmission. You remove the plug in the side and fill thru the top until fluid runs out the side hole. Replace the plug and the fill cap when done.

Where is the Flasher Relay located in a 2004 Olds Alero? I think I need to replace it because my car is making an incessant clicking noise, even when the turning signals are not on. I have purchased the part, but don't know where to put it.
Because of space constraints. It may in in multiple locations. On or near fuse panel, under dash near your left knee or between steering column & stereo. I found easiest way to locate it, is to turn ignition on, turn on turn signals & listen for its clicking noise. Once located you will see what you need to remove, if anything to replace it.

Does a 2004 alero have a fuel pump reset button
It has an inertia switch that kills the pump when you are in an accident. In the trunk on the passenger side, behind the carpet.
