Remove 6 screws tray slides out. make sure latch works upon reinstall

With a full battery turn ignition on and leave alone for 5 minutes then turn ignition off. If the computer accepted new switch it should start.

Do yourself a favor an have a qualified repair shop look at . Before you buy more parts the vehicle doesn't need . A qualified repair shop would have fix it for less then what you put into it. Some people just are not meant to fix their own cars .

May be heater core or the radiator has a pin hole in it..

Basic obd and the obd testers usually are only capable of reading faults that are exhaust emission related and more specialised equipment and software is needed to read other faults. Removing the fuse and replacing it would have rebooted the computer and that could indicate a fault or not, make of it what you will but I guess time will provide the real answer.

I'd check the ignition switch first

My daughter had an alero and frequently it had issues with the security features and had to follow the reset procedure to get it to start. I cannot remenber the reset procedure but it is available online in a lot of places, as so many people have had issues with that car. Something to the effect of putting it in neutral and turning the key to the on position but not try to start it, leave it there for 10 minutes or something and then the car will start. The security lamp would go out. I just rememembered after typing all of that, that the security lamp in the dash display would light or flash when that was the issue. My daughter solved all fo her alero problems. She bought a Mazda 3 , You didnt buy that from Off lease.com during the past year or so did you? Maybe her old car???

possible short. backtrack the ignition wiring that you replaced.

Throttle position sensor is defective.

Loose wires at connection points are sparking in the steering column.
