trouble codes chevy p1518
The first check should be done to the TAC module to make sure that none of the wiring near the Control Module is damaged due to chaffing. If the wiring and module appear to be in tact, the procedure below is recommended to correct the P1518
Condition/Concern:
Customers may have a concern of lack of power and engine light on. DTCs set will almost always contain a P1518 and may contain any of the following (P1516, P2108, P0220, P0120, U0107). An improperly torqued TAC module ground may be at fault. The Ground is listed as G104 on TAC module schematic which is incorrectly labeled on SI document ID 855376. The correct ground is G103. The locator for SI states that G103 is located on the left hand side which is incorrect. However, there have been field reports stating that G104 has also corrected this condition. G104 is a horizontal bolt in the rear of the left head and extremely difficult to reach. G104 should also be tightened at the same time.
There have also been field cases where ground G110 on the outer drivers side frame rail caused a P1518 code and an intermittent connection at splice 102 on the intake.
All published SI diagnostics should be followed in addition to following the recommendation listed.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Tighten ground G103 located behind the right cylinder head (passenger side) just below the head and mounted into the block. The ground uses a 13 mm bolt head mounted vertically to the engine block just above the bell housing.

Where is the crank sensor located on a 2001 chevy suburban?
Hi Amy:
The CKP (Crankshaft Position) sensor is located on the bellhousing on 8.1L engines.
On 4.8L,
5.3L, 6.0L and 6.2L engines, it is located on the side of the engine
block.

My 2001 Chevy fuel gauge stopped working it reads empty even though there's fuel in the tank I've tried replacing the fuel pump thinking it was the sending unit that didn't change anything . I've checked all the fuses , and cleaned the ground wire and still the gauge wont work
If the sending unit was connected and grounded, I would guess the gauge in the cluster is faulty.

can't find the a/c low pressure service port on 2001 chevy suburban
Hi.
Low port is in the line from the firewall (evaporator) to the orifice tube. High is in the line from the orifice tube to the condenser.
Both ports are near to the coolant bottle. The port that is nearest to the bottle is High, Low is the one indicated by the arrow in the picture below:

how to remove the windshield washer reservoir?
I'm guessing you may have figured this out by now but I had to do it recently.
First drain the fluid from the reservoir. Then remove the car battery. Then the battery tray. I believe it was held on with about 4-5 bolts...one of which threads into a retainer clip on the reservoir itself. Now you have cleared the way to remove the reservoir. It is held in by a few bolts that are accessible from the top side and bottom both. You will have to get on your back and get to those with a ratchet. It will be obvious where these are upon inspection. And finally there is a plastic retainer that goes through the plastic inner fender into a retaining hole in the reservoir. Firmly but carefully separate it from this plastic retainer...you'll probably have to reuse it. After you do that the reservoir is free to move. Unhook the wire harnesses to the fluid pumps. Unhook the lines to the to pumps. Now just pull the reservoir out through the bottom of the car.
Done.

just changed oil but the change oil light is still flashing. How to reset the oil change light?
Turn the ignition key to on position, but do not start the vehicle.
Wait for the "change oil light" to come on
Tap the throttle pedal three times quickly
Wait for the light to flash several times, then go out.
Start the car and drive and it won't come back on.
It usually works the first time, but repeat if light stays on.

I got out of the car one day and heard something running. I was out of town and it was late Friday. The local dealer pulled the ABS fuse and advised I get it looked at when I got home. Upon returning home I was advised that it might be a failure of the ABS relay and that before spending a lot of money I should swap the A/C relay with the ABS relay to trouble shoot it. I see the A/C relay in the fuse box but where is the ABS relay?
Thanks
The ABS relay should be located in the fuse box located on the drivers side inner fender in the engine compartment. Lift the lid and check the location diagram on the inside cover to locate the correct relay/fuse.
A related issue may be a loose ground wire. There is one located on the top rear of the engine block. It is a bolted connection. Remove this bolt, clean the surfaces and replace. This simple step has cured many electircal issues on these trucks.

What steps to take to remove third seat in 2001 chevy surburan
All actions to be done from the trunk area of the 2001 Suburban
1. Lay seat back down by lifting lever 1 and pushing seat back forward.
2. Grab center lever (labeled 2) at seat bottom, back, middle. Pull up on lever and on bar to roll seat up onto it's front.
3. Pull finger tab at center of seat (unlocks seat from floor) and pull seat towards back of vehicle on rollers.
4. Lay seat down. Seat is a beast and best to use two people to get seat to the ground!
