Cap firing order
The firing order for 5.7 L is 18436572, Number 1 is on the drivers side followed by 357 all on d/s even number on passenger side. Generally, the tower that is pointed at the number 1 cylinder is the number 1. The engine has to be at TDC on the ! cyl for this to be affective. To place the cyl on TDC, take the ! cyl spark plug out and using a gauge to see when pessure is achieved is best, but you can also use one of two alternatives.... Take a small screwdriver, and you will understand momentarily, place it in spark plug hole. manually crank engine clockwise until spark plug reaches highest point and that is TDC. The problem is, that you dont know if it is power or exhaust. So, first take a small towel and wrap around screwdriver and have a friend crank engine by hand using harmonic balancer bolt. You wil feel and hear the pressure build behind the plugged hole when number 1 is on pressure stroke. Then you can use previous tip with screwdriver to hone in on TDC.

My problem is on a 2006 chevrolet ZR71 4 WD
The chevy colorado & it's gmc cousin are theONLY VEHICLES IN THE ENTIRE WORLD withcaptive rotorsThey have been on cars in europe, I believe decadesagoThat was one reason I didn't buy oneYou have to remove the entire hub assy, steeringknuckle completely, to take off the rotorCan they be turned then, don't know if they havebrake lathe adapters for thoseThe next is to use an on car lathe & i won't paysomeone to do that after 49 year of working on my ownvehicles & owning a shop at one time.Try You Tube Video & Google to see that set upAbsolutely no reason to design that just for oneproduct line then stop making them & now there isno explorer sport trac,no dakota,no toyota tacoma, thesame ones,no ford & mazda rangers & many other are gone as as of 2011Why ---Because in the USA we have a 1955 Chicken Lawthat says all trucks have to be made here & the poor chickenissue wasn't resolved until about 1995 or so. One law for a chicken & and trucks way back in the 1950's, unbelievableWho wants to drive a big ford you can't work on or a dodgeor chevy that should be on a construction site or farmI like your truck & it had more issues than any vehicle I have ever seen or any product for that matter.

What's your problem?air pocket in coolong system
In most cases you can squeeze the main tube for the coolany and bounde the air bubble out. But you can also loosen the cap and squeeze the hose tightly and then tighten the cap back on. That creates a vacuum situation in the coolant system and you can start it and see if that pulls the air out. Note: Dont work on it hot. You can get seriously injured by hot coolant coming out if you take the radiator cap off.
