This could be due to a faulty fuel pump. The pump is located on the left side with the fuel filter. Replace these items. Double check the fuel filter by removing and blowing through it. If your cheeks puff, it's plugged. Replace the 2 items.

How to fit fan belt for mercedes 250 deisel
1- Loosen the Tension Lock Nut between the power steering pulley and water pump pulley first. This is important. Otherwise, it will cost you more to replace the tension nut kit.
2- Loosen the Tension Nut next.
3- There are 2 bolts to hold the alternator on to the engine bracket, Loose the top one while remove the bottom one. Use the top one as a pivot point to move the alternator to get the belt out and in.
4- After put the new belt in, follow the reverse order. Have fun in a hand-on job.

If there are no leaks (brake reservoir remains full), then you have air in the brake line and/or a leaking master brake cylinder. Check also the vacuum line to the brake boost.
Please do NOT drive the car until you have repaired the problem.

There are several possibilities. It can be the speedometer cable, the brakes, or even the u-joints on the driveshaft.
The parts rub against their mating surfaces differently in reverse. Any play or dryness in the parts shows up. Sometimes it is good to catch these problems early because the wear is starting to get excessive.

Sounds like a bad ground somewhere. With a 1995 MB looks like you are an owner of the dreaded wiring harness issues. Check you engine wiring harness, upper and lower and if you see cracked falling apart insulation then it must be replaced. Go to buymbparts.com and talk to Rusty and hell try and give you the best deal on those. Pretty easy to replace for a Do It Yourselfer but a little costly for a mechanic. If yours are good pull out the gage cluster by grabbing firmly on the flats on each side and pull straight towards you. The ground wires are bolted behind it. Unbolt, wire brush and rebolt.

since abs is relying on reading the current speed of the car, it is warning. since the speedo is down the abs cant do its job.
the speed is measurd by a small sensor on the gear box. cable go from there to the dashboard.
either the sensor is end of life or the cable is broken or the electrical contacts at the sensor are dirty. there are other possible causes as wall but those are rare. check these three first.
