Could be choke problem, I guess. Pull off top of air cleaner housing and see if the choke is closed when starting cold. Or maybe your gas level in the carb bowl is too low? Isn't there a glass sight level for the carb bowl? Do you have mechanical fuel pump or electric motor pump? If electric, maybe the pump is not kicking in with key on? When starting cold look down the carb throat and see if you see gas going down when you work the throttle lever. Every ti9me you mash the gas pedal, gas should spurt out and down the carb throat. Just to be sure it is a fuel problem, when cold starting, make sure you have good spark on a plug wire.

Put the old distributor in the vehicle.

fuel will turn after a while from setting sounds like might have set up on the float in the carberator and may have made the float heaver and not letting it close the fuel off when the float bowl gets full . Causing it to use more fuel would need to check the proper hight of the float

Hi Karen, if you have a trailer hitch check the associated wiring at the hitch.It is common for this wiring to get damaged,also check the trailer wiring.

no it has electronic ignition. Check to see if it sparks, next smell for fuel, if you have fuel and spark consider timing both ignition and valve timing

No, your's dose not have point, it will be electronic ign. This year model will have some wires that hook to the battery positive cable along with the large battery cable. Check these wires for a loose or bad connection. There should be one with a white plastic cover this is most likely the problem. This wire is the main wire to the key and feeds the ign. Check this wire for bad connection.

Check fuses and relay. The switch could have gone bad.
