They are on the engine block. Depending on the engine size, usually 2 or 3 on the side and 2 between engine and transmission right below each head. If you have a timing belt and you noticed coolant leak from front of engine, it could be coming from the water pump inside the timing belt cover.

Try replacing belt.

Sounds like the solenoid mounted on the shifter. You have to replace the shifter to replace the solenoid. I would check the resistance of the solenoid. Usually 30 to 40 ohms. check the plug to it(Corrrosion) and the resistance of the wires from the brake switch to the solenoid(5 ohms or less). Those shifters are cheap. Could be the brake switch also. Next time it doesn't work, See if the brake lights come on.

I would guess an Air filter needs to be changed. Or there is a hole somewhere in the air delivery system.

The idle speed of a warm engine should be 750 to 775 RPM. The idle is adjustable, but the idle could be high due to another sensor problem. In that case a mechanic should do a scan to see if an error code exists. Hope this helps.
