A fuel pressure test should be performed as I suspect the fuel pressure regulator is leaking fuel into the vacuum line causing the engine to flood on restart.
A drop in fuel pressure would confirm this.

The connector with the gray wire and the black wire is for the pump-gray wire is power wire, black wire is ground. Check the gray wire for power, when the engine is cranking. If the gray wire has power then, and no pump, check the black wire for a good ground. If ground is good, the pump has to come back out for inspection- it is not turning on as it should. If no power on the gray wire when engine is cranking, check fuse #22-a blue 15amp fuse for the fuel pump circuit. If fuse is good, you will need the wiring checked for the fuel pump relay, because it is not turning the pump on as it should. The computer sends a signal to the relay to turn it on and send power to the pump.

Take your car to a dealer and tell them to "clean the throttle body" Known problem for this year. It will solve your issue.

temporary solution is to turn key to 'on' position and leave it for 10 minutes, this will reset the computer and the security light should go off...be ready for it to happen again at some random time in the future, though.
