Pull steering wheel without steering wheel puller
To do this you need two ball pin hammers. First you need to remove the horn cover and then you need to loosen the large nut that tightens onto the steering column. Loose the large nut to the top of the shaft put your knees under the steering wheel and push upward as you put one hammer over the large nut and then hit that one with the second one and it should pop off the spline it is pressed to. Be sure you are wearing safety glasses as you do this in case the hammer chips a piece off.
Replaced fuel pump, fuel filter and sensor, 2002 silverado, truck starts but spits sputters and dies..help
Be sure you are getting good fire to the plugs and if you are take a spray bottle and spray fuel into the tbi and if it runs ok then you have a fuel problem, your pressure regulator in the tbi could be week and not putting enough fuel to the tbi. If not you need to pull the o2 sensor out ahead of the catalytic converter and see if it runs ok if it does then you either have a plugged cat or muffler. To much back pressure on the engine will not allow it to draw fuel into the cylinders and fire the fuel. Hope this helps.
Just changed battery and now truck cranks but won't start
Most common on these is the fuel pump; to confirm spray a small dose of starting fluid into the air intake (one to two second) then try to start it.
If it fires and then dies it is the fuel problem. Most common is the fuel pump, but it could be a lot of other like fuel pump relay, fuel filter, fuel pump fuse etc.
If it doesn't fire it is most likely a spark problem.
I have a 2002 silverado and the abs and brake light stay on, any ideas?
You could have two separate issues or just one. First check the level of brake fluid. (brake light)Fill it and if the light goes out, then you have to use a CReader or scanner to get the ABS codes. Cold be wheel sensors, broken wire, or the ABS module. If you can't get the brake light to go out, then it is the ABS, three possible causes. One is the ABS module is dead. second is the pump has failed. third is a bad ground wire. check the ground first. The ground is the biggest wire going from the pump /module to the body. When these loose ground, I cut the end off and run a longer wire to a better spot on the body. When you see it, you will know why.
01 duramax allison changed fluid and filters now in limp mode
Make sure you have the proper amount of tranny fluild in it and get that Valvoline fluid out of it. Allison transmissons have there own type of tranny fluid and you want to use it. You can buy the right stuff from a Allison dealer. Most Detroit Diesel dealers are also Allison dealers. Look them up in your phone book and they will tell you the quanity and sell you five gallon pails of the fluid. Just get the serial number off of the side of the transmisson before you call. Change the fliters again too. Believe me, this is important. My company has Yard horses with Allison transmissions and you don't want to screw with the small stuff. Service them right and they work as hard as you want.
Convert 6.0 liters to hp
There is no relation between horsepower and litres. Every engine has a different characteristic. There are 6 l engines with trouble to get 100 hp, and others manage a 1000 hp.
Silverado security lifgt flasheson and off and battery light flashes also
The security, antitheft or lock picture/icon is a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars and trucks there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM (Theft Deterrent Module). These 3 parts are in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending signals to each other. The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, even just for a second. When the signal breaks, the car misinterprets this as an attempt at theft and goes into antitheft mode. The car thinks its being stolen or hotwired because it is not getting that signal from YOUR specific key. This is why the security light turns on and shuts down your vehicle. This link explains it pretty well. http://www.diy-gm-security.com/

bearing sensors. that tells the computer for the brakes if there is slippage. most likely front bearings which have the sensor built in them are going bad

Hi,
Remove or disconnect:

- Manual door-lock lever.
- Door switch panel, if equipped
- Door panel
- Electrical connectors
- Water deflector.
- Window run channel front mounting bolt.
- Loosen but do not remove the 2 window assembly mounting bolts.
- Window glass from the door by sliding it out through the top of the door.
Cheers,
