2002 silverado door chime fuse where is it

I believe the chime may be tied into the radio, since the chime is heard through the drivers door speaker. Did you replace the factory radio? That may have caused it. Or if the factory radio isn't working it could be that.

Unlock code for delco radio 2002 Chevy silverado

In order to get the code you need to go to a Chevy dealer with the VIN of the car it came in, the number from the radio and proof of ownership. The have a "dealers only" number to call the radio manufacturer to get the codes. I hope this helps, take care. If you have more questions or just want to say Hi! Use testimonial to comment. Thanks.

When I put my 2002 silverado in drive it will not shift pass 3rd and only go 45 mph safely. When I put it in park the door want unlock. It done this once before and it was the selection switch.

Recommend you test the park neutral switch with an ohmmeter. Remove the two connectors. For each position, one and only one pin of the c1 connector should connect to pin D of the c2 connector, as you move the shifter through the gears. 02 Silverado 1500 speedo reads 100 mph

When does it read 100 mph ? sitting still , all the time etc.... ? The speedometer is controlled by a step motor inside the instrument cluster , step motor is controlled by a microprocessor inside instrument cluster , which get's the speed info from the PCM - engine computer over the vehicle class 2 serial data network . The VSS - vehicle speed sensor is a input to the PCM , this is what the PCM uses to calculate the vehicle speed . Speedometer The IPC displays the vehicle speed based on the vehicle speed signal from the PCM. The PCM converts the data from the vehicle speed sensor to a 4000 pulses/mile signal. The IPC uses the vehicle speed signal circuit from the PCM in order to calculate the vehicle speed. The speedometer defaults to 0 km/h (0 mph) if a malfunction in the vehicle speed signal circuit exists. Having the vehicle hooked up to factory scan tool can take all the guess work out of a diagnoses like this .

2002 Silverado- CD played ERR message

This is not a fuse problem, it may be a dirty laser lens or a broken loading mechanism, buy a CD player cleaner disk, if that won't work you will have to pull the unit out and send it in for repair at an authorized GM electronics repair station.

Pull steering wheel without steering wheel puller

To do this you need two ball pin hammers. First you need to remove the horn cover and then you need to loosen the large nut that tightens onto the steering column. Loose the large nut to the top of the shaft put your knees under the steering wheel and push upward as you put one hammer over the large nut and then hit that one with the second one and it should pop off the spline it is pressed to. Be sure you are wearing safety glasses as you do this in case the hammer chips a piece off.

Replaced fuel pump, fuel filter and sensor, 2002 silverado, truck starts but spits sputters and dies..help

Be sure you are getting good fire to the plugs and if you are take a spray bottle and spray fuel into the tbi and if it runs ok then you have a fuel problem, your pressure regulator in the tbi could be week and not putting enough fuel to the tbi. If not you need to pull the o2 sensor out ahead of the catalytic converter and see if it runs ok if it does then you either have a plugged cat or muffler. To much back pressure on the engine will not allow it to draw fuel into the cylinders and fire the fuel. Hope this helps.

Just changed battery and now truck cranks but won't start

Most common on these is the fuel pump; to confirm spray a small dose of starting fluid into the air intake (one to two second) then try to start it. If it fires and then dies it is the fuel problem. Most common is the fuel pump, but it could be a lot of other like fuel pump relay, fuel filter, fuel pump fuse etc. If it doesn't fire it is most likely a spark problem.

I have a 2002 silverado and the abs and brake light stay on, any ideas?

You could have two separate issues or just one. First check the level of brake fluid. (brake light)Fill it and if the light goes out, then you have to use a CReader or scanner to get the ABS codes. Cold be wheel sensors, broken wire, or the ABS module. If you can't get the brake light to go out, then it is the ABS, three possible causes. One is the ABS module is dead. second is the pump has failed. third is a bad ground wire. check the ground first. The ground is the biggest wire going from the pump /module to the body. When these loose ground, I cut the end off and run a longer wire to a better spot on the body. When you see it, you will know why.
