Check the wiring for the new radio, it sounds like the dimmer light wire needs to be connected. If that is not the issue, then the dimmer may need to be replaced, I would recommend that you unplug and replug it, they lose connectivity and sometimes that is all they need.

The fuel filter wont keep the pump from working but it can restrict the flow of fuel. Just to see where your pump is at smack the tank hard one time. If the pump is malfunctioning it will most likely turn back on.

Just for kicks, unplug your MAF(mass air flow sensor) it is connected to your air filter, there is a plug on top of it, unplug it and try and start it. Is the fuel pump still not working also? Did you check your fuel filter?

If the fitting is to big for your hose yes it would be the wrong port. You are looking for the low side port. Now don't quote me but I believe the fitting is either on the reciever/dryer or try looking directly on the compressor, I believe the 2003's fittings are located there. you may have a bad idle control sensor. is the check engine light on? if so, any auto zone or advance auto can code read it for free. that's if you can get the car there. usually if it does'nt idle like you've described,the idle control sensor is #1 suspect.they cosy around $20,00 and very simple to replace,only 2 screws and 1 plug in on the top of the engine. suggest that you try this 1st when you purchase this part,have the parts place explain the exact location of the part on the engine. thank you for choosing fixya.com
When i plug a computer
on the diesels you need the bigger diagnostic tool like snapon or dealer. they are pinned diferently and a generic obd2 reader wont even receive power.
Where is the knock sensor located
Vary rear of the engine off center to the right side if you are faceing the engine at about 2 Oclock pisition almost up against the fire wall . You may have to climb across the engine to see it

THE TANK IS HOLDTO THE FRAME BY TWO STRAPS EACH ONE HAVE A BOLT AT THE END YOU WILL NEED A 15 mm DEEP SOCKET, SECURE TANK PRIOR TO REMOVE STRAPS SO IT WOUN'T FALL,LOWER TANK SO YOU CAN DISCONNECT ELECTRIC CONNECTOR AND FUEL LINES YOU WILL NEED A DISCONNECTING TOOL FOR FUEL LINES THIS IS A VERY INEXPENSIVE TOOL JUST PUSH IT IN THE GAP OF LINE CONNECTION AND PULL LINE OUT
THE PUMP IS LOCK IN THE TANK BY A LOCK RING YOU WILL NEED TO PUT PRESSURE OR TAP WITH SREW DRIVER OR CHISEL MAY BE A HAMMER AFTER YOU REMOVE THIS RING THE PUMP IS FREE JUST SLIDE OUT.

By what your stating, that it starts and dies every time, It seems to be fuel related. You need to perform a fuel pressure check. You will need a pressure tester, one that would at least be able to read pressure to a maximum of 150 lbs of pressure. Although you really only need about 50-60 pounds of pressure to maintain proper fuel injector operation. There is a test port located on the fuel rail where you would conect the pressure tester. The test port is usually located on the drivers side of the engine near the rear section coming up from the firewall. Unscrew the pressure port cap if its still there and connect your tester. But also keep in mind you may have fuel pressure of some sort in the rail so be careful. While the tester is screwed to the test port you want to cycle the ignition key on and read pressure, you may want to repeat this several times. You must have at least 50 pounds of pressure, if so it should start. If you are losing pressure while your maintaining a visual check on the tester it could also be a faulty pressure regulator/fuel pump or even a rubber hose connection inside the fuel tank that connects the fuel pump to the fuel line. The service engine light means that there is a sensor that is bad or something is wrong. The only way to tell what sensor is bad is to get the diagnostics ran. You can do this at any Autozone. It is free. They will give you a printout of all of the codes that is making the service engine light come on. And what sensor that is causing this.

First, send us the number fault that you find there! Soft reset coudl disconnected the battery cables few minutes. Then the PCM relearn your diver mode with the factory settigns. Could be a dirty or failing lifter, could be piston skirt "slap"... Try a fresh oil change and an additive. I normally don't like additives because they usually are a waste of $$'s but... I've had good luck with a product called SEAFOAM (at O'Reilly's, etc...). Might be worth a try.

Need location of 30 AMP fuse in a 2002 Chevrolet
There are two fuse panels in these trucks...one is under/side of drivers dash and will have the mini fuses in it...the other is under the hood and has the Maxi fuses in it as well as relays..you did not specify what the fuse was for when you posted this so here are a few places to look
