Cranking but not starting
OK so lets take it one step at a time.Remove a spark plug, attach the plug wire and ground the plug to the engine.INSULATE yourself from the plug.Have someone crank the car and see if there is spark. If you get a spark then it could be a fuel delivery problem. If not try, the distributor. They are optical type on that car and can be a problem .The crank angle sensors can also give you a no start. You need to get it to someone who can scan it and do a fuel pressure check if needed.I chased this problem for a week before I narrowed it down .Good luck
My 2007 altima has a faulty brake switch,Is this
I had the same problem and fixed it without wasting any money. My car was just out of warranty so I had to fix it myself, but if you are under warranty you'd better go to the dealer to replace the switch. But what I found is that the switch itself does not have the problem. It was the connector that's lose in electric contact. Here's the step.
1) Push drivers seat to back most to have room to sneak a look
2) Use some flashlight to see where the switches are located. If you don't have a flashlight, don't worry. Use your phone to light up.
3) There are two switches. The one in concern with the engine start up is the one on the left.
4) Pull off both of the switch (So you can have more freedom with the cable where both sockets are attached)
5) The one with four holes is the one in concern. Individual plug is shaped as a simple 'I' form. And the socket look like T shape. Use a small driver to bend the pins in the socket towards where I shape plug pin goes in to contact. You'll see what I mean once you reach to this point.
6) Now put everything back and try start the engine. This time it will broom 100% chances whenever you start the engine.
95 nissan altima po340
PO345 is the cam shaft positioning sensor and PO325 is the knock sensor. Check your starter and your battery.
Trunk won't close
If after every re-adjustment the trunk close only to refuse to close after sometime, it is posible that striker is not tight enough and probably shifting after some uses. It is likely also that the threads on the bolts or screws are worn lightly. If posible try using a spring washer or some threadlocker medium strenght.
