Heater core
Sounds like a bad heater core. You will get steam/vapor out of vents from this. If you are referring to the over flow tube being the evaporator drain tube at the firewall its because the heater core shares the same case with the A/C and its filling up with anti-freeze.

1992 pontiac starts, quietly dies and backfires loudly on restart
It sounds like to me you are having problems with your fuel injectors. In situations like these there are soooooo many different variables and possible problems, but the fact that the car is backfiring makes me believe that you are getting too much fuel in because that is what makes are car backfire. When fuel makes it to the cat converter or muffler it will burn there and cause the backfire. My suggestion would be to start the process of elimination with a good fuel injector cleaner. The only one that recommend is called Greased Lightening and can be purchased at Napa and O'Reilley auto parts. If you don't have one of these near you I would go with Techron. Let me know if I can help you with anything else. Thanks for letting me help you with your problem and I would appreciate an honest rating on the help that I gave you. Thanks for using FixYa!
How do I change the fog light bulb on a 92 Pontiac Grand Am?
I'm only going to guess for youIf you can squeeze under the front of the car or jackit up to get under thereYou should be able to reach up & get the lamp outfrom behindNeed a flash light & some patience to get your hand up there& figure it out.The lamp is a halogen I would guess & fairly priceyDo not touch the glass, hold it with a paper towel
Coolant light is on but its full
in the plastic fill tank before the radiator itself is where the sensor is ok then get a screw driver and tap the sensor with the handle if possible and i said tap ok see if the light goes out if so great but could only be temp fix but in my experience it s worth trying.. if the light stays on then you need replace the sensor in the tank if possible if not you ll have to replace the hole tank.... one more thing your coolant must be clean if its old /dirty/with stuff floating in it/or real clowdy it needs to be flush first and the plastic tank needs to be cleaned real good ,,, the floating part on the sensor will stick and cause the light to stay on and so will the new sensor after a month or two or less ... hope this help you out good bye tony
