Where is the fuel filter located and how do I
Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. Your fuel filter is usually the on the same side as your gas cap. Go to the cap and look under the car. You should be able to see the gas lines. Follow the gas lines. Some will split off to the gas tank and the others will go toward the front of the car. You should be able to see your fuel filter on these lines. It almost looks like a small oil filter. Now, observe the filter and find the bolts. You need to remove both gas lines to the filter. You will have one in the front and one in the back. There will be a little gas coming out, so that is normal. Once you take off both gas lines, take off the bolt that holds the filter up. It may be two bolts. The filter should come out and you can replace it with the new one.
Brake lines keep busting even
You have a master cylinder and splitter problem that is allowing too much pressure to the lines or you have the routed incorrectly and they are pinching. Since the latter is not very likely I recommend replacing the Master Cylinder and if that doesn't fix your problem then look at the splitter. (This assumes you have a separate splitter coming off the master cylinder where the 4 lines connect to that instead of the Master cylinder directly.)
Cylinder 1misfire did valve job
check or swap spark plug and wires from #1 to another cylinder. It maybe the cause of your prblem By the way the plug wires should Ohm out at least 28,000 or better to be good

Is the security light flashing? It's possible that the vehicle security is shutting down ignition.Would check this as a possible issue.
Driver Side window is stuck
it is time to go buy a new window regulator. parts store and eBay are good sources. pay an auto glass shop to put it in. you are not going to do this yourself. dealer about 500 dollars, as much as the car is worth, do it my way about 150 dollars total.
How to replace the turn
yes the steering wheel has to come off, there is an airbag in it so you are going to need special tools and a trained tech on hand to do it safely. get the part and take it to a dealer.
My 1997 Pontiac Bonneville SE
Hello,
Let me ask first what you have the thermostat set on for your car? The blower motor is suppose to gradually slow down and then shut off when desired temperature is reached and then automatically come back on when the temperature goes higher or lower than what you have the thermostat set at. So I would first make sure it is set as much to the cold side as can be. If your thermostat is set appropriately the it sounds like something is malfunctioning with your blower motor or your switch. The fact that it is always cold is a good thing. That means your AC system is fully charged. You may have to have your switch and or blower motor addressed if you are sure that the blower should not be shutting off.

Tony
I have a no crank

Drivers power window does not work
you need to remove the control switch and test for continuity on the switch itself usually these switches go bad due to moisture exposure from rain and what not...
Do i have to remove
If you remove a motor mount without a cherry picker or hoist holding the engine in place, you run the risk of crushing yourself under your car. Each motor mount is two separate pieces of metal held together by a fairly large bolt in the middle. One end of one piece is attached to the engine block the other is attached to the frame of the vehicle. But I would suggest not attempting this without someone's help that knows how to do this. If you're not sure where the motor mounts are it leads me to believe that you will either break an expensive part or kill yourself.
How much work is involved
you can buy cans that you put into the gas tank when you fill up(one can each fill up)but this take along time to do its job if it can,the only real way to clean injectors is with a fuel injection cleaning machine that also cleans the fuel rail were some dirt gets caught.these machines connect to the fuel rail and pressurize the system while the car is running in a bay for about 20-30minutes and works the best.of course this is done at a repair shop as this type of cleaning is expensive to buy the machine for an individual to use may be twice.the injectors could also be so plugged with dirt you may have to replace the injectors.
1997 bonneville sse. My power door locks work
this is caused by a short in the wires.
now the best place to look for that short is at the fuse panel, or at the wires that go between the door and the car frame ( in that rubber acordic tube ).
so start at the fuse panel and use a volt meter or a 12 volt test light and trace and inspect the wires for splits, broken, burnt or unshielded exposed wires.
also check the wire harness that goes up and over the steering wheel shaft down by your feet area.
if you have checked all this and you are still having troubles - please feel free to write me back here and I will do my best to help you fix this problem.

You can check for power where it goes into the fog light switch and then the output terminal when the switch is on, or simply skip that step and turn the switch on and test for power at the fog lamp connectors if you have no power go back and check the switch if you do have power make sure the fog lamp housings are properly grounded and then test with a new bulb

Hello kprescott.
It would likely be easiest to remove the relay that turns the pump on.
It is seen in the diagram below. 5th one down on the right side of the diagram.
This panel location is in the second diagram.
If you need further information regarding this issue, leave me a message here.
Thank you for using FixYa.

How do you get the emergency brake to release?
Some Pontiac models have a release cable pull located on the drivers side lower dash panel...other models do not have a seperate release pull...the white lettered instructions could be worn off...but you will need to depress the parking pad pedal in order to release...if none of this works, your parking brake cable is stuck, and needs to be lubricated...not a costly thing...have you had the rear brakes serviced? Hope this helps...:)
