Wont go into park

Could be a problem with the key lock, or something inside the transmission. You could disconnect the cable from the trans and try to manually shift it into park to find out. Make sure the wheels are blocked if you do.

Why won't my 99 Pontiac sunfire start after it got hot

How hot did it get? If it got hot enough, it could be seized, have a blown head gasket, have melted the ignition, or any of a bunch of other major problems. Does it turn over normally?

My 99 pontiac sunfire check engine light came on as I give it gas its really bogging stalling ?

You need to check engine codes to determine which circuit is giving you the problem. Have a visual inspection under the hood to make sure no hoses etc are disconnected

I have a 1999 Pontiac Sunfire after going into ditch in a winter storm it won't start

Have you "retrieved" the car? My guess is in the process of going into the ditch something critical to starting was bent, pinched broken. A very careful visual inspection may reveal the problem. It may have been then fuel pump, or its electrical connections.

Wheres the slave cylinder located at? wen i press my pedal it stays at the floor.what could that be?

Hello Herman, I assume that you are referring to the clutch slave cylinder. Did you check the fluid in the clutch master cylinder? Fill the master cylinder and try it a few times. If it works better but not good enough, you may need to bleed the clutch system. The slave cylinder should bleed at or near the front on the side of the transmission.

My battery light keeps coming on even though my mechanic said there's nothing wrong with it.

If you're certain the battery is fully charged, then you need to check your serpentine belt out for bad teeth which will cause it to slip, then your alternator with a multimeter to see if it's charging the battery. A simple method to see if the alternator is working at all is to start the car, then remove the negative battery terminal. If the car dies immediately, the alternator isn't charging. This should help you isolate your problem.

Heater doesn t blow out any heat or air

If it is not blowing at all your problem is with the fan. It is mounted up under the passenger side. Typically about 6 screws hold on the cover and the fan is right under it. Pretty easy fix. When the fan is out I would test it first....after thought here...did you check the fuses?

How do I fix a serial 2 data link malfunction on a 4 cylinder 99 sunfire

Hey John ! how's it going ? How do you know you have a class 2 data bus problem ? Need some more info ! Do you have a scan tool ? Can't communicate with the PCM ? Have a check engine light on ? You may access 2 data lines with the scan tool. The serial data line UART (circuit 800) allows the following components to communicate via serial data: ?€¢ The scan tool

?€¢ The powertrain control module (PCM)

?€¢ The instrument panel cluster

?€¢ The sensing diagnostic module (SDM)

?€¢ The electronic brake control module (EBCM)

The serial data line class 2 (circuit 1807) allows the scan tool to access directly the PCM in order to read emissions-related information. The scan tool gains access to both data lines through the data link connector (DLC). You may then monitor or control system operations for diagnostic purposes.
