How do I get my conv top to latch?

As a general rule vinyl tops shrink over time due to hot temperatures, the only thing you may be able to do is park it inside a warm garage, put the top up and place a block with some weight on it at the top, and let it sit like that for a couple of hours, the heat will help it to stretch a little, i do however see a new top in your near future. Hope this helps, let me know

P0146 pd means pending code Pending codes and DTCs? Posted on November 12, 2010 by fcrmaster When reading codes from your vehicle the fault code reader may show them as pending codes or normal Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC). Pending codes (also known as continuous monitor codes) will be registered when an intermittent fault occurs. If that fault does not happen again after x number of start/stop cycles, the ECU will erase the code from memory. If the fault is persistent it becomes a DTC. If you have read pending codes it is advisable to check the codes again after a week or so. If there is no apparent problem with the vehicle it is safe to erase the codes too and check back. But always make a note of any fault codes with the date and mileage of a vehicle. If the codes read include a DTC then you need to investigate further. This you can either do yourself or advise your garage. If, again, you don't see an apparent problem (depending n the severity of the code) with the vehicle you can note the codes down and erase them. Then check again after a week or a few days depending on how often the vehicle gets used. If a repair has been made (previous owner) the DTC may just not have been reset after the repair. The other numbers behind the code 01/06 , 02/06, 03/06 , 05/06 ,04/06 These don't mean anything . cheap code reader . Blower motor works only when I move the connection-

It sounds like a bad contact between the motor and connector. Try to tighten the female side of the connector by squeezing the slots closed or if it is a pin style connector try some electrical contact grease to improve the connection. When you have good contact between the connector and the blower motor it should work...if the blower still doesn't work... the poor electrical contact is inside the blower motor.

Hello I have a1999 Camaro

Did your shop show you a Print out of the OBDII scan to back up their repair recommendations. If a shop is charging more than 100.00 they need to prove the diagnosis or warranty the repairs.. A dirty air filter can put the MAF sensor out of range. get them to Translate any codes present on the fault history, Then delete the stored fault history. Recheck OBDII for current faults. Let the print out be your guide to parts replacement to avoid parts you don't need. The only sensor that is prone to physical wear (1999, Old age) is the throttle position sensor(TPS) and possibly The oxygen sensor (O2 sensor). they are relatively cheap and should be replaced due to age. Install a new air filter and new fuel filter (cheap) and go from there.

How to reset security light on 1999 chevy camaro Z28

Your find what code is stored in the BCM , do the diagnostic's ,fix the problem then the light will go off ! Or you can do by-pass of ignition an hope that is the problem . These VAT'S systems have a tendency for wire's breaking at back of the ignition switch ,you can test with a ohm meter . That is if your key has the pellet on the side . You measure the pellet with ohm meter , find wires under the dash . two White wires with a yellow sheathing over them . Stick the key in the ignition check for ohm's resistance ,should be same as key pellet . If no reading ,go to radio shack buy resistor of same value an solder in wiring harness ,body harness .

I have a 1999 chevy camaro and I need to add coolant. do I add coolant to resevoir only or to radiator only or to both?

If the engine is cool, what you should do is open the radiator cap and top off the coolant in the radiator. Then, fill the reservoir to slightly above the Full Cold level. This will allow for some additional coolant to enter the system since it will probably need more than what you put in the radiator. After that, as long as you keep the reservoir level between the full cold and full hot levels, you should not have to add any additional coolant to the radiator itself.
