The tailgate on my 2008 Chevy Uplander refused to open. The unlock fuse was fine. The handle pull worked fine. I could even hear the little motor that unlocks the tailgate whirr when I pushed the unlock button. But the gate would not release. Turns out the problem was the lock mechanism was jammed because it had dirt in it and not enough grease. From the inside, I pulled the lift gate panel out at the window so I could look down and see the lock mechanism at the bottom of the lift gate. I reached down and prodded it with my screwdriver until I noticed that parts of the mechanism weren't sliding back and forth like they should. I sprayed it with a silicone lubricant until the parts started working again. Finally, the lock unlatched and I could open the rear hatch. I could then remove the entire plastic panel and remove the lock mechanism. I found that the mechanism has lots of rubber and plastic parts which get chewed up and start to jam if not properly lubricated. I cleaned out the dirt with my silicone spray and thoroughly lubricated all the moving parts. The latch now lets go of the post very easily, and the lift gate no longer gets stuck.

The locking mechanism on the rear lift gate for the Chevy Uplander has some plastic and rubber-coated parts that can get jammed. If you can pull back the panel from the inside top near the glass, you can reach down and try to spray some silicone lubricant into the lock. This could help get those parts unstuck so they spring back when you pull on the handle latch from the outside. Once you get the rear hatch open, I recommend taking out the locking mechanism and thoroughly lubricating it. Your rear lift gate will start to release very easily from then on.

to program a key just insert a good key and turn on the ignition remove the key and insert the new key and turn on within 10 seconds and thats it

You start the vehicle with the old key then quickly start the vehicle with the new key. It is now programed.

the sensor is part of the throttle body and not replaceable here is the throttle body replacement instructions as you will have to replace the entire throttle body it is a very common issue with these THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Remove the air cleaner intake duct.

1. Disconnect the electronic throttle control (ETC) electrical connector (1) from the throttle body (2).

2. Remove only the heater inlet pipe.

1. Remove the nuts and the bolts from the throttle body.
2. Remove the throttle body assembly.
3. Remove the throttle body gasket.
4. Clean and inspect the throttle body gasket mating surfaces.

NOTE: Do not use solvent of any type when cleaning the gasket surfaces on the intake manifold and the throttle body assembly, as damage to the gasket surfaces and throttle body assembly may result. Use care in cleaning the gasket surfaces on the intake manifold and the throttle body assembly, as sharp tools may damage the gasket surfaces. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Install a new gasket, if necessary.
2. Install the throttle body assembly.
3. Install the throttle body nuts and the bolts.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Tighten the nuts and the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in) .

1. Install the heater inlet pipe.
2. Install the heater pipe nut to the throttle body.

Tighten the nut to 25 N.m (18 lb ft) .

1. Connect the ETC electrical connector (1) to the throttle body (2).
2. Install the air cleaner intake duct.

Reset on board computer 1St by disconnect battery negative for 30 minutes -- THEN Reprogram . If no luck the door lock Actuanter control module or even the switch is worn out . Common made out of plastic issue . Best Buy from Wrecker since parts $$$ cost $$$$

You probably turned it off. Most General Motors cars have the setting to turn off or on through the radio control panel Find the configure button on the radio control and scroll through till you find the parking assist page and then reset to on. check with your manuel seeing there are different radio controls depending on options.

I replaced my wifes fob's on her tundra and it took me quit a few tries. you have to follow the directions exactly. remember it directions because you have no time to go through the steps while you are doing it

There is no onboard programming procedure for this vehicle. This vehicle requires special equipment be connected to the vehicle to program the keyless remote. hope it help

Replace the ignition switch to start with. Defineutly bad.

Turn the key on for ten minutes, off for thirty seconds. then try to start. There is also a relearn procedure. It is three times the reset. Try to start after the third time. Also put a charger on the battery so it doesn't drain.

Not sure where the immobilizer is located but to answer your question as to can you disconnect it NO. The key has a small chip in it that is programmed to the car the only thing you can do is have a dealer cut and program you a new key take your vin number to the dealer with prof of owner ship as they will not cut a new key with out this info.

Dealer will do it for you at a quarter hour wrench time. Most generally $25 or less key fobs are a pain in the butt. My dealer done it free since i done alot business there.
