There are a few things effected by heat that could be causing this. Crankshaft position sensor (if your car is equipped since Mercedes started using them sometime around 1991-1992), Fuel pump relay, fuel pump itself, ignition coil (s) and ignition control module (EZL). The only way to narrow down which one it is, is to diagnose the problem WHILE its not starting, so test for fuel and spark during those times and narrow it back from there.

reach under at back wheels grab the cables an wiggle them that may work if it is a cable issue. if you have calipers in the rear and the cables go to them try prying back the lever in the opposit direction of the cables

To get the right diagram it really depends on whether or not you have aircon.

It will be provided with the original manual/paperwork for the vehicle. If you are unable to find this, you will need to take the car to a dealer. They can provide the code with the serial number and the car's VIN.

The power of a 540 motor will depend on what the exact specifications are. An RC car with the 540 will be much faster than a car with the 380, despite the fact that the 380 has a higher rpm,

Hi, Pull out FUSE(s). Then have your dealer or mechanic check system.
Good luck.

If you did apply power directly to the horn and they don't repsond or just "buzz" then you need new horns.

It sounds like a vacuum related problem. The pump works as your doors locks are working. I think you should check the vacuum lines to the trunk lock. Could be the line is cracked in a way that pressure seals the leak and vacuum opens it. Try replacing the line (or just run another line out in the open to test before replacing).

This one stood out for me as I have this intermittent problem as well; or, the locking/unlocking could isn't a problem, but the LED behavior is identical to yours but more often than not it works correctly. I wonder if it's a lack of power? You must have already tried the re-synchronization procedure? I've never taken apart the vacuum pump that un/locks the trunk, but you say it works? Can you disconnect the vacuum line to verify there is pressure/suction from the line itself? I wonder if these trunk lock latches are prone to grease/gunk build up where it makes it harder, over time, for the locking mechanism to engage and disengage?

Keep us updated.

The first thing to do is have the battery and the charging system checked,if the asr system detects less than 11.5 volts or loss of power it shuts down and turns light on,

Undo the front brackets on the top of the winshield, then unplug the rear defroster, then pulling the button should release the back of the hardtop. Lift off the car.

Never hurts to check panel light fuse before doing anything else.

If its one window its not a fuse. Most likely the motor is bad or its gear is stripped. If its not the connected regulator is bad. Buy a new one and replace.

if it is a factory alarm system fitted, pulling a fuse will do nothing(the thieves would have it away in no time....)and as there are so many aftermarket alarms available any good system would not be so easy to disarm, try something else.(how do we know you are the owner.......)
