LOCATION OF STARTER RELAY 1994 MERCEDES SL
I had a similar problem once with an Audi. I found that the relay in that case was in a plastic box about 5" x 7" under the hood. At first, I did not even realize it was able to be opened then a friend popped it open and there were several relays,( in my case the fuel pump relay) and switches inside.
You might look for a similar situation. Seems the Germans have a habit of hiding things in plain sight. Hope it helps.

Srs warning light came on after transmission work
the only way this comes on is if the steering wheel or any of the air bas have been tamperd with or knocked also there are censors under the bumper at the front that could have been knocked plus the modual for the srs light is under the centre console under ash tray if these have been removed and the unit knocked this would cause this to happen also check the harnesses under the seat are conected as well if all these are in order im afraid its to the dealers for an srs reset there is no other way of reseting this unless you know some one with a reset tool

My 94 sl500 dash lights and door lights start
Hmm sounds like the classic mouse has had a chew of the cables ,also some of these older cars wiring looms have dodgy plastic insulation which goes all sort of soft and dissolves on its own ,their is a short somewhere but where ?? is the big dollar question ,where to look ? start at the rear of the vehicle in the boot and check the wiring loom although if dash and interior lights then i would suspect behind the dash ,might be cheaper to buy a new car iam sorry to say

Mercedes 500SL 1993.
Hi,
Few things to check before we come to some conclusion. Are you sure you haven't just gone into Limp Home Mode? Is the ASR light illuminated?
Did you check the air cleaner too? More than a few folks have suffered the embarrassment of having their mechanic "tune up" the engine by changing the element if those injectors are the originals you'd probably see some improvement with new ones in power, smoke etc. Please change them .It also worth checking your engine mounts & shocks (including the one on the belt tightened) as they help reduce the shake a lot.
Clean up around the injectors & lines real good, remove rubber return lines,(maybe a good time to replace these too) release the clips holding the steel lines together, undo the nuts holding the lines @ the injectors, you'll be able to SLIGHTLY bend the lines aside, then simply unscrew the injectors out of the head. Clean up the injector seat real good with rags, wire brush & vacuum cleaner. I re-used the crush washers without problem (down in the seat) but you should probably replace them if you can... Torque the new injectors in & hook up all the lines again, it would take some extra seconds of cranking to purge the air & start the first time after that.
Thanks for contacting Fixya.

Hello, In my experience with these cars, anytime you get a control module code, the control module is bad.
I hope this helps

Hello, I'm not sure if you are talking about the lid that you have to open to get to the fuel filler cap or the cap itself. If it's the fuel filler cap that you are talking about, you will need to take a pair of channel locks or equivalent and grab the two metal pieces that are about 3/8" wide, hold the cap with one hand and turn the pliers with the other until it snaps back on top of the ex centric.
If it's the actual lid that won't open, it is a vacuum problem. You can try to leave the car running, then work your locking system back and forth with the key in the drivers door. That should get the trunk unlocked. If you can get the trunk open, look to the upper right in your trunk and should see a round pull knob, pull it and your lid will open.
I hope this helps.
