sounds like the battery may have gone or possibly even the alternator as it may not have been charging the battery - you need to have it checked out first

Replace the fuel filter. Pray that fixes it cause if it doesn't it is probably that the pump is getting weak, and those are pricey.

I doubt that the thermostat would cause a lose of water, the water pump yes. I would check the freeze plugsnext. These are holes built into the engine block during manufacture and are then sealed with plugs. Top off your radiator, be sure the radiator cap is tight, then let the car idle while setting on a hard surface drive. You should get a clue as to where the leak is by where the water is dripping on th drive.

Spray the switch with W D 40 and work back and forth.

Test the fuel pressure, if it's low or non existant, you have a bad fuel pump, fuel pump regulator, or clogged fuel filter. That car has a throttle body, not a carburetor. All fuel injected cars have throttle bodies

Try removing the ground lead from the battery for at least a minute then reconnect; some of the onboard computer stuff is rebooted this way. If that fails check service manual for your VIN #

I would start with a short squirt of WD40 around the stuck button and then try to work it, see if it gets unstuck.

Sounds to me like you have a weak ground wire. check loose fittings on fender wells. use a multi-meter and test the voltage going to each light to ensure it is proper voltage.

Assuming it's automatic transmission and given the age of the vehicle I would look for a new transmission on eBay or at a nearby car recycler. Rebuilding the stuck transmission, which would likely be needed, could cost more than what the car is worth. Also, there should be plenty of these gear boxes around - a very, very common vehicle. If a standard gear box (never seen one in the sunfire but anything is possible) then the problem could be as simple as a broken or stuck shift cable/linkage. You can test the clutch separately - the car should be able to roll roll once you press the clutch - so if the clutch can disengage and re-engage then check your shifting linkage next.

On the fuse panel under dash driver side it will more then likely be a round cylinder looking fuse.

is it asking for a LOC code... gm used a system with a theft deterrent built in so when you loose power you have to reenter the 4 digit code. if you dont have the code there are published process online to retrieve a code from the device then a number to call to get the code.
