The electric cooling fans on my 2004 pontiac
I would check your relays first. Usually your problem is the relay. You may have a Service Engine Soon light on also. This can indicate that your coolant temperature sensor isn't working therefore the sensor isn't telling the computer to turn the fans on. Another quick easy test is to start the car and while it's idling either turn on the a/c full blast or the heater defroster. This should cause the fans to kick on for a length of time. (The length of time can very) If they do come on it would lead me to believe that you have a coolant temp sender problem. If they still don't come on after a few mins, I would definitely look into the relay.

2004 Bonneville - Temperature Gauge is Erratic
Since there is no voltage applied with the ignition off, if the gauge is not dropping down all the way, it is the gauge that has failed.
Temperature sensors are frequent failures but they are not active when the car isn't powered up.
They can be intermittant, high, low but with no power, the gauge itself should go to the minimum.
Fog light replacement
The defector shield is held by pushpins, pull the center of the pin out and the whole pin will come out. You will have to raise the car or climb under and remove the pins only on the side you are working on, twist the bulb out, remove and replace. Push defector shield back and put the pins back in
