I think the code mechanism where you put your code

GM vehicles are notorious for a a having a failed antitheft system thats called Passlock. When this system fails, the key doesnt communicate with the ignition correctly and causes the vehicle to stall. Next time this happens, look for a light on the dash that says SECURITY, if you see this, then this is the problem. Go to this link for info and DO IT YOURSELF solutions to this problem.

Dash lights may be replaced depending on the dash cluster. Most these days are (sealed) and require a (new) cluster. The only way to know for sure is by contacting a dealer. Removing the cluster is not an easy task, by the way. Hope this helps.

2001 chevy silverado heater /a/c blower is working

check your owners manual and see if you have an inside cab air filter for the heater/air cond. When they get clogged, they restrict the air flow.

I have a 99 suburban

First check your basics. Check the fuel filter for plugging. It is on the driver's side of the frame underneath the vehicle. The other item to check is the MAF or mass air flow sensor. If there is a check engine light on have it scanned by a local auto parts store for free and let me know what the codes are. Be happy to help further.

How to remove a distributor

You set number one piston at Top Dead Center (TDC) and made marks on the distributor in relation to its location on the engine, or at least remember the direction in which the rotor was pointing. If you didn't, then the first thing to do is set TDC and then stab the distributor. At TDC, the rotor points to the number one spark plug wire post, follow the firing order from there. While stabbing, you may have to rotate the distributor left or right a little to get the splines to mesh.

Hope this helps you

Ac throws hot air compressor still kicks on

This would be a loss of freon in the system, provided that you know the blend door is operating. You can have a local mechanic recharge the system and add dye to find a leak. Leaks are often bad O-rings but can also be bad mating surfaces on components.

It would help to know exactly what the voltmeter was reading.
Although many US trucks have ammeters instead of voltermeters, which are not as useful.
If you are saying the ignition switch is not causing a heavy draw as one would expect from a starter, then either the ignition switch, neutral safety switch, solenoid, bad engine ground, or dirty battery terminals are reducing current flow. A voltmeter should read 12 volts from the battery when engine is off. Why you try to start, the starter should draw it down do about 10, but then when it starts and you rev it up, it should go over 13.5. If it does not drop to 10, then you have a blockage.

1999 express 1500 4.3 motor has a lot of gas in

a leaking fuel injector will continue to flow fuel after the engine is shut off. This fuel flows down the cylinder wall, past the rings and into the oil pan. A leaking fuel pressure regulator will do the same.

Reduced engine power came on i'n my 00 chevy

Ok I would start by checking your shifter to make sure it adjusted right and you can do this by looking at your shift indicator if that is ok then might have a bad manual shift valve thats in the transmission, if that valve goes bad it would tell the pcm that your transmission is being shifted into another gear while your driving causing the Power control module (PCM) to out you vehicle into reduced engine mode
