What is the easiest way to replace the pigtail on
Just cut and splice. 1 black wire, 1 grey wire, 2 white wires just color match. You may want to remove the upper intake plenum to gain access though. Might as well plan on replacing the o2 sensor while your at it. If the plug got melted because it rested on the exhaust manifold, you probably wont get it unplugged. Not sure where to obtain a replacement plug though. You may have to hit some salvage yards.
The radiator fan of my 1996 grand caravan se is on
Junk yard PCM's are usually safe and most have a very limited warranty (but usually only if a shop is doing the work). These PCM's are very specific so make sure that every number matches. Some older PCM's are superceded and have different numbers but will work. The junk yard should know if this is possible. Ask about a warranty or even a test try. Bring the van down and swap it right there to see if it works and/or resolves the fan issue. Even try offering him a restocking fee if it doesn't fix the problem (before you buy/install it of course). I would not recommend the web unless you are guaranteed a refund. There are too many variables in getting the correct one. Thanks and please rate.
Driver window will not roll up or down....cables
What you need is a window regulator/motor assembly. Not a difficult repair. Two clips hold the window to the mechanism. Two bolts each for the tracks, and three bolts hold the motor to the inside panel of the door. Remove all these and the cable hold downs, fold together, and remove from inside the door. It is probably easier if you remove the glass after you remove the clips.

The ODBII Access Port. Dealer only or Junkyard Item though. You usually have to get a new wiring harness to replace it.
None of the dash gages work no fuel, no rpm no
If you haven't done this already, check your fuse, for dash gauges. Go to the left side, inside your engine compartment to your control panel and check the fuses. Also check the fuses in your interior fuse panel, which is located at the left end of your dash board. Pull the handle with your fingers and check the fuses inside. I would think if all your gauges are out then it should be a fuse. I hope this will help you. Please vote. GOOD LUCK.
Can I tow a 1996
The rear wheels on this car are free rolling. With the front wheels up on the tow dolly and secured with the straps provided you should have no problems. Follow the tow dolly instructions such as release the emergency brake, place selector in neutral, and don't drive over 45 mph. You will get to where your going safely. GOOD LUCK.
Can you get to the alternator through the right
On this car some alternators are at the top some are at the bottom depending on the engine. You can't get at it thru the wheel well but you can get them from the top of the engine compartment ,or from under the car. The main thing to remember is that after you remove the serpentine belt the alternator is removed by turning the pulley in order to get your wrench thru the holes in the pulley, and onto the holding bolts. I have heard to many stories of the plastic pulley's being broken because wrenches were forced in behind the pulley's. The other wires can easily be removed. Remember disconnect your battery. Please let me know if I've helped you ,and don't forget to vote. GOOD LUCK .
WHICH FUSE IS FOR THE
You have in your Dodge vehicle one central control box located under the hood on the left side and one fuse box located on the left side of your dash board. Open the left door and you will see the pull panel ,grab with your fingers and pull out. On the back of this pull panel you will see a diagram of all the fuses and what they are for. If the fuse you are looking for is bad make sure you replace it with the same amperage fuse i.e. 20 for 20, 15 for 15, 10 for 10. If the fuse blows again you have to find out why. Maybe the stereo you just installed wasn't installed correctly. If I helped you please get back to me, and don't forget to vote,GOOD LUCK.
My 1996 Dodge grand caravan
Hello fellow auto mechanic. Let's take one step at a time .Your engine turns over because your starter is connected directly to your battery. It's possible that the crankshaft sensor was the the problem, but NO. Also new fuel pump well maybe but not yet. There may be more to this story and as always not what you may have done but what you don't know you have done.
First when you put your key into your ignition and turn to on you should here a noise at the back of your cars fuel tank. The sound will be a whiiiirrrrr sound indicating that your fuel pump is doing it's job and pushing fuel to the engine. It will be a very significant sound and you will know it when you here it. If this doesn't happen go to your power control center under your hood on LEFT side open it and you will find a relay for your fuel pump. This is an easy check because you can pull the relay for your horn LABELED the same, and use in place of your fuel pump relay to see if you can start your car. If this doesn't do it ,one more test look at the relays and find the ASD relay this is the main shut off to your vehicle. Now if this doesn't work it is very possible that you or whoever replaced your fuel pump may have crimped some wires or even forgot to hook up the the plug to the pump. This kind of stuff happens all the time, that's why people are always asking questions.Check the simple stuff first, and I believe you will find your problem. It's probably something very simple , don't get discouraged.
One more thing , why are there so many 96 Caravan problems? Please get back to me on the above and let me know if I have helped you. Don't forget to vote and GOOD LUCK.

How can I get the
locate the pump, release the belt tension, it has a bolt at the top and one at the bottom, the lower one is tucked in pretty close and is hard to reach, remove those, and have a pan ready ,, remove the hoses,
96 Caravan-gas gage has started dropping from full
no not a fuse, the shop was correct you need a fuel sinding unit.
the fuel sinding unit and fuel pump are the same unit, it is caled a fuel pump module, unfoutinately you have to buy the complete unit, so eaven though your pump is ok you will still need to buy the compleate unit...sorry
and on the 96 the fuel tank has to be removed to replace the unit, the $400 quoted is not a bad price especally if that included the labor.
let me know if there is any thing else i can do for you.
I have a 1996 Dodge
AutoZone on-line has some good step by step directions and some include pictures. You have to register first ( free) and then just navigate to the "repair info" section.
I think the person that said to just change the brg with a new std one without taking a precise measurement of the crankshaft journal gave you bad advise. I ALWAYS "mic" the journals to see if they are undersized. that involves the use of a set of micrometers that can measure thousanths of an inch.
I replaced the seal at the front pump and the
Either the input shaft seals are leaking or
A failed throwout bearing/slave cylinder could leak brake fluid into
that area, and a leaking crankshaft seal would let engine oil in there.
