I have a 1992 Pontiac Sunbird that will not start
Needs to have at least 3o lbs of fuel pressure,may need to rent a gauge from your local parts house.Plus make sure all the ground wires are attached (bell housing bolt is where the ECM ground is,I think)
Why would my car not pass Georgia Emissions testing?
Can you remember how many miles you have driven since the engine was installed? What I mean is that if you have a good running engine and have a new converter, sometimes the easiest things are the ones overlooked. Check your air filter to make sure it isn't dirty and restricting air flow. Also check your spark plugs to see what kind of shape they are in and if they are burning clean. Spark plugs can tell a lot. If you had transfered any emission related parts from the old engine to the new, maybe one of those items has an issue or is clogged. I hope this helps. Good luck.

What would cause the radiator fan to not come on?
I would check the relay for the fan. Most on the time there will be another relay of the same type in the fuse box. You can swap them out with each other an see if your fan starts working. there are numerous temperature sensors and of course the computer that could be the cause of your problem. To answer your question, when you turn your AC system to maximum (recirculate) power is sent to the fan constantly to ensure two things happen. One, with the fan on if keeps airflow across the radiator to prevent engine overheating. Two it ensures airflow across the condenser for maximum heat transfer even at low driving speeds. Just like the condenser fan on your house ac unit your car has one too. If you are low on refrigerant, the low pressure cut off switch keeps the compressor from engaging, but I haven't heard of it keeping the fan from working. Last but not least, the plug to the fan!!! Ive had to repair a lot of corroded wires for cooling fans on all kinds of cars. Fans Draw a fair amount of current, and the plug contacts burn with age. I hope this helps you out

The jet pump on the fuel pump on a 1992 Pontiac
Yes you need the jet pump, it is actually a smog pump for emissions that will throw a mil if capped off. Try checking for a clog at the other end of the hose because that built up pressure will cause it to blow. Pressure has to go somewhere.......
Cooling fan relay location
The relay should be in a group on the firewall or the fender. You may need a book to figure out which one is for the radiator fan.
