sounds like you may have a cracked Rack N Pinion, could be that something needs to get Welded down there. Something like the Rack Pinion casing can crack and allow the CV shaft to protrude far enough to hit your ball joint during turns thus hindering rotational movement

Battery is DEAD on 2003 Ford Escape! Door key (using an actual key) unlock is also motorized, which needs battery juice. I can't get into this car! I thought about putting jumper cables on the sta

Open the door manually with the key! Many Ford Escapes have power door locks as standard equipment. This system consists of a lock switch, lock actuator and wiring harness. When you depress the lock switch, it sends an electronic signal through the harness to the actuator. The actuator moves an internal piston that either pulls the actuator hook down or pushes it up. The actuator hook connects to the lock rod, which either locks or unlocks the door, depending on which way you push the lock button. While this system won't work with a dead battery, the mechanical lock system remains unaffected by electrical power loss. Insert the door lock key into the driver's door lock. Turn the key counterclockwise one quarter turn. Pull the door handle up until the Escape's door opens. Once the driver door is open, simply open the remaining doors by pulling the interior door handles until the doors open.

My over drive light keeps blinking periodically on my ford escape 2003. it seems to drive fine, I just had the transmission replaced 2 months ago. What could the problem be?

Get it back to where you took it to be fixed ASAP. You should definitely have, AT THE VERY LEAST, a 90 day warranty. This seems like it's something that wasn't reconnected properly or at all. Good luck!

The engine stopped while driving on 2003 Ford escape. Oil light, check engine light and the battery light came on

oil, check engine and battery will always be on when the engine is dead--because there's no oil pressure, nor battery charging. A faulty oil pressure sending would never prevent the engine from starting. You'll have to tow it to a shop to find out why

2003 Ford Escape Shift Problems. Only P works.

Nothing to do with your alternator my friend, you did nothing to cause this situation. Block the tires and put the emergency brake on, slide under to view the shift linkage on the trans, have someone shift ti for you, if the linkage does not move, you have a broken or disconnected shift cable that needs attention.

My ford escape looses power specially uphill mecha...

Your request for help has some different elements that are not common with how repairs are usually made. To open a catalytic converter to inspect the honeycomb and then remove the insides destroys the converter. Some of your problems should have thrown a trouble code and the lack of a code can mean the diagnostic system is not working. This can mean the brain is not processing signals from various sensors. One thing to look at is a blocked fuel pickup in the tank. You indicate a new fuel pump was installed but you could have something floating and then blocking the pickup when you drive uphill. Has the fuel filter been changed? Another area is why your transmission is not downshifting to maintain rpm. There can be a vacuum problem and there are simple old-fashion gauges to measure vacuum pressure. Something cues the car that more power is needed. You did not say if this problem is during Cruise control or with manual pedal. At the worst, you may have low compression in the cylinders and there is not enough power to go up a hill.
