Where is fuse for heater fan
open driver door on side of dash. "HVAC" ; # 9 & 21. Also Under Hood , Diver Side By the ABS Brake system, Black Cover; "HVAC" Top right of box. 3 small fuses Between the PARKLP and HAZLP. Check A/C fuses also. I'm not sure what issues you are having? (There may be a Box in the back of the glove box. This is usually for Blower motors) Not sure on this model...
My heater works fine if temp outside is 15 degrees or higher but blows only cold air when colder outside.
Dianna, check to see if you do have antifreeze and it is at the proper level. if there is not enough antifreeze in the radiator or it is to low it will freeze or not circulate properly in colder weather leaving you with no heat. if your antifreeze is good it may be a sticking thermostat going bad or it could be a water pump going bad, not circulating enough. also any local auto parts store can and should check these for you if you ask them. i hope this gives you a little hope.
How to fix timing
well if belt is broken you have to replace it. then get timing light and set it. unless your mechanically inclined you need to take it to a garage to have fixed.
How to fix distribitor timing problems
Remove number, one spark plug , turn engine over till compression is felt, turn engine over till TDC marks on crank pulley and timing cover marks line up, fit distributor to motor with rotor pointing to number one distributor cap tower, start and set final timing with timing light.
How to fix no start after valve lifter job
Recheck the timing belt/chain and check the location of the rotor button in the distributor. If they are right, then look at the ignition module in the distributor and the coil. Check wiring.
What could be problem
Incorrect oil grade can possibly be the problem (oil too "thick") try an oil change using 10 w 40 oil (Castrol Magnetec) or Shell Helix
We just bought a 1999 GMC Jimmy and the heater
Could be that the heater core is disconnected, there are two hoses that attach to the heather core that come out of the engine, this provides hot water to the core thus making the heater work, when the heater core starts leaking water the quick and fast fix would be to bypass the heater core and connect the two hoses together, check under the hood on the left passenger side there should be two hoses about 1" thick see if there are connected together or of they seem to be connected to 2 outlets that come out of the inside of the vehicle. people do that specially if selling vehicle.
