I have a 1999 GMC Jimmy sometimes the heater blower motor works and sometimes it doesn't. It comes on sometimes when you are driving it .

CHECK GAGES light (1) indicates a potential engine failure(low oil pressure, low coolant, coolant overheating) has occurred.
· Check gages and shut down engine. Gages should read as follows: Oil pressure 5 to 10 psi (34 to 69 kPa) at idle; Water Temp gage below 230 degrees (110 C).
· Check engine oil level (Para 2-11) if OIL PRESS gage indicates low reading. Check coolant level (Para 2-11) if Water Temp gage indicates high reading. Notify Unit Maintenance if levels are low.
If CHECK ENGINE light (2) is on, check engine oil pressure gage (3) and water temperature gage (4). If both indicate normal, proceed with mission and then notify Unit Maintenance. If either one does not indicate normal, stop engine immediately and notify Unit Maintenance

We have had our Jimmy into a local repair place twice for the same problem. Today it happened again for the third time. The engine begins to run hot and the coolant reservoir is found to be empty.
The first time they replaced the thermostat and water pump. Refilled the coolant system with proper mix of antifreeze. Within one week of being home the Jimmy did the same thing overheating and the reservoir was found to be empty again. Second repair trip they replaced the radiator, fan clutch, and the thermostat for a second time. Within three days of short drives (less than 5 miles each day) the Jimmy started overheating and the reservoir was found empty again.

I guess the burning question is , where is the coolant going.
Is this a 4.3 engine? How many miles does the vehicle have?
Has the intake gasket been changed?
I'm guessing a can of "Bars Leak" may cure your problem.

is it ok to go from 235 70 r15 tires to 235 75 r15 on a 1999 gmc jimmy
Yes its ok, the 75 tires are a little taller. your speedometer will not read correct speed, you will actually be going faster than what it reads.

I just bought this truck about 2 months ago. Just recently the SES
light came on. Had it read. Turns out to be a P1345 code. I have
replaced both the cam and crank sensors. Since then when first
accelerating at very low rpm's I can feel the misfire. Or at high
speeds(70-75) around 2000rpms the same misfire happens. I got off the
highway when this happened. Had the truck scanned again. Same code
P1345 and a misfire code. I have recently(past 2weeks) changed the
plugs wires cap and rotor(same time as the cam sensor).
With the recent plugs wires cap rotor and cam sensor the truck ran fine for a couple of days then the P1345 came back. The truck ran fine. Had the scan tool hooked up and it cycled and no misfires. About 4 days later the light came back on again(each time it was cleared). Scanned again and it was not cycling. Changed the crank sensor. Now cycled a random misfire after the truck had been running about 20min, but then the computer cleared the misfire(no code thrown). Drove the truck around and about 3 hours later when I started the truck the SES came back on. Drove it around and could feel it misfiring again but only at low speeds(didnt want to push it on the highway).
I need help because this is starting to **** me off.
I did read online that when I replaced the cap rotor and cam sensor that the distributor possibly might be off a bit and could cause this.
I did get all of the repair reciepts when I bought the truck and one of them was the distributor was replaced through a recall.

How to change my front differential seal and bearing ? passenger side.
I bought a new wheel bearing because of a humming sound on passenger side and doing so saw leaking seal and maybe the humming was commng from differential inside bearing ?

if ure changing passenger side a washer will drop behind the 4x4 shift fork in the diff as soon as u pull the cv axle out and u will have to drop the axle tube to reinstall this

1995 chevrolet blazer LS 4.3L Model:S10506-my reverse went out, what do I do? All the forward gears work fine, I just took a 10 hour trip with it. Before the reverse went out it always acted a little funny(in reverse). It would kinda shudder when gas was applied during reverse and then one day reverse was gone. Please help!

Where is the transfer case control module located in a 1999 jimmy.I was told there was a panel on the passenger side where this is but I do not have a panel. There are some plug ins behind the glove box but I am not sure what this part looks like.Any help would be appreciated.Thank you
Its behind the kick panal on the pssengers side.

My Jimmy starts one day then won't start other days.
I cannot hear the Fuel Pump charge the system when I turn the key.
I have found the Fuel Pump fuse but I cannot find out how to check it if it is good or bad.
The next step would be to check the Fuel Pump Relay.
Is there a way that I could check and change my Fuel Pump Relay easily without going to the garage?

firstly where is fuel pump relay as i have never seen a GMC jimmy sorry about that but have you ever seen a foden ?? well the first thing is to check the fuse,if fuse is ok which can be checked by looking at it as its transparent or a piece of wire with a light bulb .across the battery.to find the relay is easy if you dont know where it is,When this piece of americana decides to work just turn ignition on and listen for the click of relay ,then when it doesnt start listen for click again or rather an absence of a click,sounds more like a dodgy pump in the tank or the connections going to it.when it wont start try thumping the fuel tank with the ignition on and if it is a sticky pump you might hear it start then at least you will know where the fault is.Another fault that i have come across with relays is that where the relay is passing a heavy load then its possibe for the contacts to burn inside the relay.When this happens then if it is possible to seperate the relay cover and clean the contacts with a points file (remember them ) or a piece of fine emery paper if the cover breaks taking it apart then use a bit of black insulating tape to repair the cover.Thats assuming the pump is in the tank and not bolted to the chassis near the fuel tank but that design with external pump i havent seen on a europeon car for nearly 20yrs .

In the event of the ABS light coming on whilst driving, means the ABS computer has detected either a malfunction, or one of the sensors is not operating as it should.
When the ABS light comes on, the computer will de-activate the ABS function of your braking, and your vehicle will now be operating under normal brakes (i.e. no anti-locking ability) and will now be susceptible to wheel lock-up under extreme emergency braking.
I would highly recommend you have the ABS computer scanned for 'trouble codes'. This will tell you "where" in the ABS system, the fault lies.
It could be anything from a simple wheel sensor needing adjustment, to a faulty pump.
As with all modern vehicles, your respective onboard vehicle computer will 'tell you' where the problem lies.
