Try putting it in to gear with the car switched off if it goes in easy it sounds like you have a clutch fault have you had a new clutch or anything done to it

check the switch ,the fuse,and check ground

no its a bad ground . buy a book and check to wear the grounding block is and check for coarsen. or broken wire .

This is the BCM it is located behind the radio in the dash. They are not cheap.

The transmission is not at the right angle -not still in correct alignment with the engine. When removing it, it must be pulled straight back, and kept tilted at same angle as the engine, so the transmission input shaft clears the clutch disc and doesn't bind up there.

The ecm does not control the dashboard lights. I would start by checking battery, alternator and starter connections. Also, Gm uses aluminum wire and to check for white corrosion on ends of heavy gage cable.

you float prob has a leak i got a 94 and mine allways moves ive just learned to deal with it

there prob a short trace your wiring harness and see if it touches and bare steel
