How to fix diagnostic code for 1999 vw passat po304 po305 po306

Hi. You have misfires on cylinders 4, 5 and 6. If there are no faults on cylinder 1, 2 and 3 then I would check the power to the left bank injectors. Also check spark plugs and ht leads. If there are running issues then this should be an easy fix. If the faults are very intermitant then it can be a bit tricky to isolate.

What would make a miss in 2001 vw beetle have changed spark plugs and two coil packs check engine light stopped flashing but is still on

Have the car computer scanned for trouble codes. Hopefully the codes will identify the problem. Auto Zone and Advance Auto will do the scan, and once you have the codes, you can research what they mean on the web. Just do a search for "trouble code..." and the code number.

Whats the shop labor time to replace an oil pan on a 1999 vw passat?

Hi. I am not sure of the exact workshop flat rate time, but the subframe needs to be lowered. I think 3 hrs is a fair time to do this repair. A wheel alignment would be needed as extra.

99 VW Passat with rough idel

Unfortunately when you disconnected the battery, the ECU (engine control module) forgot the basic settings to run the car. That throttle body code is one of the symptoms. Try your ac if you are in a warm place, the compressor won't kick on, another symptom. I went through this twice already, once because I was putting in a stereo, the other time the battery went dead. Take it to a good VW dealer, call them first to make sure they can do it. I went to one and they said that this was not possible blah blah blah and wanted to install a new throttle body for 750 just in parts! Of course I went to a different dealer. It is a crime. So, call and find out if they can reload the basic settings. I don't know how you will get there if your car is auto, because it will probably stall at every light. Luckily mine is a manual and I could get through it.
Here is a link to explain further.
Print it out and bring it with you, it's helpful for the mechanics.

Make sure you tell them, reload the settings and clear the codes before you do anything else because the symptoms point to mechanical problems, however it is the computer that is fouling the system.
Good Luck.
