It sounds like the oil pump stopped pumping.. that's unfortunate. Because if it did. And you took it to a shop. 9 times out of 10... they will want to rebuild the motor. And I'm sorry to say.. but the best thing to do is to get out from under that car.. because everything is TREMENDOUSLY expensive to repair.

yes you can but there will be a clunk in the auto transmission . it may also start to move off with out acceleration.

Your best bet is to call & speak directly to a VW parts dept & ask them. U can order whatever parts u need online & probably save $ but call & find out what parts u really need. If its needs a certain paint color only the dealer will be able to order the original parts or u may have to have it painted to your want. Good Luck

Sounds like your instrument cluster needs to be replaced.

Check there's no water in the oil and the oil is not milky under the oil filler cap and dip stick if it is your head gasket has blown

There isn't one. Most cars do not have one. This is a common misconceotion. Early ford fuel injected vehicles had them.

There is no reset button (AKA inertia switch)

You will have to remove the clear plastic cover on the instrumentation board. Then you will have access to the bulb.

it the horn activates randomly when driving and when the steering wheel is moved , the problem will be the ground contact under the steering wheel there is a small spring loaded button that runs on a slip ring in the back of the steering wheel and intermittent/ random operation can be traced back to a fault in this area the horn works so it is good , the fuses and relays are working to make the horn work so they are good ( unless there is a grounding problem with the relay causing the relay to operate and blow the horn)

theres a plastic over flow tank marked coolant under the hood on the fender well area has a plastic cap on it

I believe it's all related to youe brake light switch. There is a recall on it. It sticks and causes the epc kight to flash, also causing your other stated issues. If recall working has been done, buy the dealer switch. It's easy to replace.
