Its leaking oil into the air filter
Uncontrolled Crank case pressure Failure.
RECOMENDATION:
Replace the Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve and vacuum line.,
INFO: PCV
This is a valve causes a negative vacuum on the engine while its running, As to say if it had a leak in a valve cover it should not be leaking while its running, only when the engine it turned off.
Hope this tip guides you in the correct direction to solve this problem.

I have a 1991 jetta - carb and it seems that when
between carb and inlet manifold there is a 1cm thick
kind of gasket
these are going to dry out and leak
when the engine runs and you spay brakecleaner besides de carb on the gasket and you hear any difference in de rpms replace the gasket and it will be ok.
you can also try to move the carb while running
pull or push and detect this way if you have false airintake.
We just replaced the termostat but we still don't
Verify that you are actually getting coolant flow through the heater core. To do this find the two hoses coming out of the firewall on the passenger side. With the motor at full running temperature check these hoses by touching them. If one is cold and the other is hot you have a flow problem. My manual does not show a control valve on the heater hoses, double check to make sure you do not have this. If you do not and the hoses are one cold and one hot you will have to either flush or replace the heater core.
IF BOTH HOSES ARE HOT
You have a heater door control issue.

How do I repair the gear shift?
Locate where the shift cable linkage mount to trans, check for good tight attachment to ball socket, then have some one move shift lever through gears watch to see if cable moves shift arm BOTH directions if not replace cable
Car has little acceleration but rpms rev higher,
I think the best thing to do is to get a compression test on the cylinders to see if all are running at max compression when hot as well as cold as if the compression is down then it could be a few things but also TELL me is it a Manual or Auto box in the car ,as that can make a big differance.
Let me know how you get on and send me the info as Above.ASAP
