if its a low brake fluid situation that is turning on the light then make sure the fluid level is correct. if its full then the proportioning valve may have to be centred if it move too far in one direction. to do this you bleed the brakes to move the valve to the centre position. if this won`t work then tap the valve while bleeding it should unstick the valve. check the e-brake as it could have moved just enough to turn on the brake light indicating the e-brake is on, as there is a switch for this on the e-brake pedal, make sure its in the full off position(pedal is up all the way).

I copied this from my GM service manual for 1982 6.2 diesel. 1. If the glow plug relay is not clicking on and off then turn the ignition to the RUN position and connect a 12V test light to ground and touch the pink/black wire in the glow plug relay connector.2. If the light is off repair the open cicuit in the pink/black wire to the splice.If the light is on then touch the light blue at the glow plug relay connector.3. If the light is off replace the glow plug relay. If the light is on, disconnect the connection at the thermal controller and touch the black wire in the connector.4. If the light is off, repair the open circuit in the light blue wire from the thermal controller to the glow plug relay. If the light is on repair open circuit in black wire back to a splice. If no trouble is found replace the controller.You should also get your hands on this Haynes book. Diesel Engine Repair Manual, part # 10330. Excellent coverage on the 6.2 and 6.5. In it, they say that early 82\'s have a hole at the number 2 hole on the pin connector of the wire harness for the thermal controller. this allows dirt in there and corrodes the pins. Remove the connector and clean thoroughly the pin area on the connection and controller. Seal the hole with some silicone. If things are still acting up, replace the wire harness connector.Hope some of this helps.

You most likely have an air lock in the fuel line or fuel pump.To start the engine and hopefully get the fuel to the carby, pour a little fuel down the carby and then start the engine. You may need to do this several times until you get the engine running.

I have no idea what a "Touqe converter " is or how it would fit into a " transmiccoin".

It could be bad gas or a clogged fuel filter and maybe a clogged fuel jet in the carburettor.

Start with checking the fuel filter first. If it has dirty fuel in it, it probably clogged the filter and then the jets. That's common in cars and trucks who are left with gas in them and sit for long periods of time.

You just loosen the pan you will however have to take the front 2 pan bolts all the way out and then you can remove your cover,your kit will come with new seals and gasket,I hope this helps you and thank you

Check fluid level when hot. If ok the flush cooling lines between tranny and radiator. Also check your modulator they are cheep from napa. Difficult for me to duplicate hissing sound on the computer but check your converter for how hot it is after twenty minutes. Last check the vacume line from manifold to modulator..sometimes a small hole can make that noise and effect shifting...hope this helps:)

You should replace it. It can be reused if you wish, but if the the last trans or the trans you are rebuilding got very hot, it will distort the holding power of the band. They are not that expensive. Maybe $10-$15. I'd replace it with a new one if it were me. If you have the one end over the lug, then it is installed properly. It is a non adjustble band. If look down the valve body, you will see where the servo pin goes down into the case and applies pressure to tighten the band. It should just be sitting there arund the drum in a relaxed postion, and the one end hooked over the lugs. Very simple. So simple that is probably why you think it is not connected or installed properly.
