Have a 63 gmc fleetside
Your talking about a major change to that model. In essence you will have to get a complete power steering set up from a model that will fit in your vehicle and machine special brackets to mount the unit and pump. As far as the brakes are concerned, again, your talking about a serious change. Not just the master Cylinder but the Power assist unit that is mounted to the Firewall must be replaced and a proper vacuum must be established from the motor. In early models this was run from a hose fitting mounted to the manifold but if the vehicle was never equipped with Power brakes you are going to have to change the Manifold to one that will support your motor and provide that connection. The primary component of Power Brakes is the Vacuum system. This is not going to be an easy fix but actually more of a major overhaul of the vehicle design. With the power steering it is not just a matter of mounting a pump but you have to change the steering control assembly as the original system will not accept power assist connections.
I have a gmc sierra
Alot of people are having this problem. A locked 4x4 while turning on a dry or wet surface will do this, unless it is snow or mud which allow the wheels to slip the front wheels bind and buck, clunk. Now if this is not the case then check the CV joints, jack front wheels off ground, one at a time is fine, grab wheel and wiggle all around and see if tire feels loose as it might be a bad wheel bearing hub also. I don't believe there is anything wrong with the ,transfercase. I have owned 4x4s for 31 yrs ranging from 1967 - 2003, mostly chevy (gmc) ford, and 1 dodge ram. 9 out of 10 times it is front hubs, pinion, front driveshaft. Transfercases either work or they don't,and if they don't its because it's broke and your not driving.
Just need the instructions on
start by diconnecting the negative battery terminal, Locate the starter under the truck, should be 2 bolts verticaly though the starter. Loosen both of the bolts but do not remove them. On top of the starter their should be a large and a small wire connected disconnect both of them ( if u cant reach or see them remove the starter by taking out the 2 verticle bolts then remover wires) once bolts and wires are off the starter just wiggle it into postion and remove between the motor/ exausht and frame. Try to remember how it comes out will make it simpler to fit going back in. if thier isnt enough clearence u may have to notch the frame or loosen the motor mounts and raise the engine slight with a floor jack.,
Cant find the high beam
it maybe your high beam switch isnt working. look on your instrument panel and see if the indicator light is on saying your high beams are on.
Is it possible to remove
Hello, anderplan. In order to remove the cylinder head from a V8 Chevy engine, it is necessary to remove the intake manifold. If you need further assistance in this area, please feel free to ask, I'll be happy to help in any way I can, V8 Chevrolet engines are my specialty. :)
I have a 1997 GMC
get codes first it may be just a simple shift solenoid problem. if no codes then trans probably has a seal that is leaking pressure. that is a major repair. transmission has to be taken down and bench worked on. re-conditioned / overhauled properly
Changed fuel pump, fuel filter,
When it is running go the tailpipe and with a glove on, check to see how much exhaust is coming out. It sounds like a possible plugged catalytic converter

The Oil Pressure Sending Unit can be found at the top and rear of the engine, behind the back of the Intake Manifold. It is to the left (Driver's Side) of the Camshaft Position Sensor which is located on the block centerline.

YEP CHECK THROTTLE CABLE ADJUSTMENT AND MANUAL LINK VALVE NOT INSTALL CORRECTLY COULD ALSO BE BINDING BROKEN. REPLACE TRANSMISSION SEE IF HELPS. TRANSMISSION USE MORE FLUID PRESSURE IN REVERSE.AFTER REBUILT SO MANY MILES I CHANGE TRANSMISSION FILTER COULD BE STOPPED UP.FELT IN FILTERS WILL STOP UP.IF ALL IS GOOD TRANSMISSION OIL PUMP PRESSURE COULD BE TOO LOW.OIL PUMP COULD BE FAULTY.NEED TO DO A TRANSMISSION FLUID PRESSURE TEST.MAKE SURE OIL PUMP GOOD.IF PUMP IS GOOD. YOU NEED TO ASK THE MECHANIC DID THE OVER HAUL WHAT PARTS DID HE REPLACED. BECAUSE NO REVERSE COULD BE FAULTY REVERSE SERVO SEAL. WELL DID NOT NAME WHAT TYPE MODEL VECHICLE AND THE YEAR OF VECHICLE FAULTY REVERSE BAND WILL CAUSE NO REVERSE.I WOULD NAME A LOT OF OTHER PARTS BUT TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN REBUILT.IF TRANSMISSION BEEN REBUILT.THE FORWARD, DIRECT AND INPUT CLUTCH ALSO REVERSE INPUT CLUTCH HOUSING SHOULD HAVE NEW CLUTCH PLATES AND NEW PISTONS SEALS.

Clicking noise when i try
Normally this is a sign of a bad connection on the battery cables. It could also be a battery that is run down. The best thing to do is to clean the battery terminals, even if they look good. Clean them with a wire brush where they look like bright shiny new metal. If it wont start after this attach jumper cables to another car and try to start it. Dirty battery cables can not only prevent a car from starting, it can prevent the battery from charging. Go through all of this and it should get you going. If there are still problems you will need to have the starter, and the battery professionally tested. Good luck with it.
