1992 GMC Sierra Questions & Answers
I have a 92 GMC Sierra runs good but after 10
When the problem is ongoing, if it cranks good, have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the plugs, if everything is hot, wear gloves. Check proper fuel pressure and fuel injector pulse.
I'm especially interested in the fuel injector pulse. If your losing rpm signal, there will be no fuel injector pulse.
How long since overall tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? Your obd1 so checking trouble codes should be easy, as long as your mil lamp works. There may not be any codes, I don't know? I can only help with testing, you have to do the testing.
Clutch pedal goes to floor. I change the clutch,
you need to pressure bleed the system, or you can fill the brake system to over fill as it needs to be over the pipe for the clutch line. and keep it there and pump and bleed the line, but before pumping undo the bleed screw and put bowl uner to catch fluwid and fill the line up till it runs out clear with no bubbles. then tighten the bleed screw. then fill up and pump pedal, the re bleed. should be done then, pressure kit doe this all in one just hold clutch down and undo the bleed screw let air out etc then tighten up. and its done. used for doing the breaks as well.
1992 5.7 cranks no start
Assuming you are correct, then the only two things still needed are air and compression. As long as the air filter and air intake is not completely clogged, you have air. Perform a compression test to ensure that there is sufficient compression to support combustion.
Changed my TPS & IACV now truck wont start unless given gas
You should be able to look down the throttle body and see into the air bypass chamber that the IAC uses to divert air around the throttle blade. Look to see if the pintle is all the way out closing off the flow of air. When you turn the key on you should see the pintle move back and allow air to move through. If the pintle is not moving that it may be stuck in the bore. Especially if there is a lot of carbon build up in that passage. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

How do I replace the door latch on my 1992 GMC Sierra 1500?
remove the inner door panel then disconnect the arms that run from the outside door handle, the inner door handle, the door lock mechanism, from each unit. then undo the 3 bolts/screws on the end of the door to remove the door latch assembly.
My inside light, radio and lighter went out how do I fix it on 1992 GMC sierra
Check for a blown fuse. Replace fuse. If it blows the fuse right away, then you have something shorting out the circuit.
Fuse panel is probably located under the dash board, to the left of the steering column.
IF you're using the cigarette lighter as an actual lighter and not as a 12 volt plug for a phone charger, THEN I would suspect the heating element of the lighter itself.
Hope this helps.
Remove door panel from a 1992 GMC sierra 1500
Depends if its electric locks/windows or not. You can go to any auto audio installer shop and they can pull it for you in less than 5 minutes. They will do it right in front of you and probably wont cost anything to very little.
